We have the same problem with Southampton.I gave up with the last check after waiting three weeks. Some times you can get through and speak to someone and they will tell me over the phone but i like to get something back like an email to have with me on site just in case someone asks what I'm upto and have had to show before to nosey neighbours.Apparently Southampton have laid of some of there tree division and are having a big shift around so maybe thats why who knows.
  4. I had the same problem when getting a quote to convert my standard ranger to a tipper with removable sides and rear barn doors.Thought ill try local to Hampshire all came back with shocking figures.I found a company on flee bay in the midlands for half the money MCB body builders build to any spec you want and very good job for what i paid.I think I've a picture of my truck on my website. 12. Dont do commercial no more. Waiting months for your money don't appreciate your hard work unlike most private work bringing out tea and bacon butties now you talking. As er in doors says you can't go and spend £100 on food shopping and pay in eight months time.Might work for some but not me.

  14. Hi frankj Im just in the middle of doing mine with 1&1 build your own site costs me £24 per month.I know absolutely nothing when it comes to this sort of thing but with a little help here and there it don't take long.Have a look.Maybe start something on Facebook as thats free unless you want to pay to boost you page. 15. If its just for clippings trimmings then waste of time putting it in a micro chipper as it comes out the same as went in.When i do hedge trimming ill wait till we get a layer in the pickup and trailer and and cut down then across with the hedge cutter a few times its amazing how it will reduce it down.We also cut it up this way in the ton builder bags and when you've done it a few times it takes two or three blokes to move it. When i start to take off longer and thicker branches that are to big to mince up with the hedge cutter then it gets fed into the TW13/75.It would be a good little investment when you get one as it means you can take on some of the bigger jobs that you might not usually do.Maybe the next time you get a job hire a machine for the day or have a demo on one.As PeteB says if you can put a deposit down on a new machine. I brought a second hand machine big mistake the money i gave for it and getting it repaired after a couple of times using it then for it to blowup i could of brought a new one which i ended up doing anyway .Fit a winch to your trailer to make things easier.Let us know how you get on. Kev
