  2. Hire a stump grinder or get some one to do it and ask for a drink.I done a similar job a few weeks back wasted so much time sharpening chains and binned four ended up costing me money.Never again at least i learned something that day don't make the mistake i made.

  8. Also if you got your own saw learn how to service it and maintain the bar and chain etc and what parts of the saw does what and the safety features and as above just listen and don't panic and you'll be fine all the best and have fun
  9. We got a 12kw multi fuel burner last year from salt fire stoves from down your way very happy with the service and burner.
  10. Have a look at one of the training centres website they usually got good info on what tickets you need.Try arbor venture website very good for that.

Get some stein explorers for that best boots i ever had and as above get some revision done.On the first day they'll give you some training books to take home to read but as taffupatree said just look at the nptc site and if you've got your own saw learn how to service and strip it down.Try not to worry to much about it as if your with a good training centre they should be very helpful and on assessment day they have a good way of getting you to give a good answer.All the best and enjoy.

  13. The worst of it seems to of blown threw down southampton had the worst of it between 2.30am to 5.30am just windy with a few gusts
  14. Still chucking it down and and winds got right up within the last half hour
  15. Wind dropped right off now in southampton but chucking it down.The calm before the perfect storm that I'm watching on itv2 how ironic

  19. I to had lots of trouble with my first 550 xp after about the twelfth time of taken it back husky finally swapped it for a new one two months on all still ok what an AWSOME saw.

    Run the engine to full throttle and saw a number of cuts in a thick log (3-5 min) the saw must be run (8,000-12,000 rpm) the entire time to allow the carb to adjust itself. The manual states this should be done when first used or when outside circumstances change

Just done a 15 mile round trip to quote a hedge cut for an old boy.Took a look at me and my truck tried to introduce my self he blanked me so thought he might be deaf so tried again a bit louder still nothing.He asked if i worked for myself.Yes sir I've my own company huh he replied your be far to expensive for me then:confused1: how would you know that sir i might only charge £3 ph, do you he asked, no i said, see told you your to expensive. I asked him how he had heard about me a friend highly recommended you.I asked if they had told him that i charge for my services yes he said but i still won't be able to pay what you want:confused1:. Ok i see I'm not getting anywhere here so said goodbye to him and left.STRANGE that one. Maybe should of told the chauffeur to park the Bentley round the corner:laugh1:
