  1. I always feed a length of ratchet strap webbing under the rollers ( top or bottom rollers) to aid in lifting out/in the rollers. Makes easier work of it. Bob
  2. Thats the trouble and proves its all in the mind , the fairy wakes guys with a stiffy which some poor sods lose the second they open their eyes and spot the munter on the pillow next to them, sagging arse/tits, a gunt, bingo wings and a face like a slapped arse are not conducive to a raging stiffy. I think the NHS should supply older guys with younger chicks first instead of dishing out eruption pills just in case the problem`s not a medical one . Best I go now Bob
  3. I am now fifty eleven, am I still allowed in here ? Bob
  4. Not seen her in a while Mick but its about somewhere, it will show up when its hungry Bob
  5. Just a Pyramid scheme disguised as a currency, hyped to get the interest and folk on the wagon then dumped by those in the know a long time ago. There are going to be a lot of gullible losers left wondering what went wrong Bob
  6. Clutch is slipping on the Ranger Bob
  7. Making Aspen dealers richer unless I am mistaken, we also get through far too much of it to stray from the 205 ltr barrels supplied by @Rye Oil Ltd. Shameless plug for you Jon Bob
  8. There may well be a better grade of logwood available behind those gates for forum members , pm me if you need a few sticks and I will put them to one side. Bob
  9. kiNnel e6gz, as Picaso said " The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls" Think you best get the kin hoover out 8od
  10. Great truck to drive but shite engine, tipper works out well on them. You will need the HD springs
  11. It really does hinge on what your customer is expecting, a tractor mulcher will bash the tops off the stumps in situ and level the brash, its never going to be a lawn. For a better finish as its only four hundred stumps I would probably grind them with the big stump grinder and mulch the brash. Power rake and burn the lot is another option. Bob
  12. Can you not rake up the brash, grub out the stumps and process them in with the biomass? Bob
  13. Only because the older man is normally stuck with a fire breathing, argumentative, menopausal dragon that is slowly morphing into something that looks like its mother and that will only talk to you if you slap an HRT patch on its arse. I for one would take great delight in flossing with Kylie`s G string, probably use Geri`s to tow start the truck Bob
  14. That lampost has got zip written all over it Bob
  15. They chewed through that lot and another few truck loads in less than a week, this poor chap was ordered down here by swmbo with strict instructions not to return without picking up what was left

I think that law is aimed at the increased number of non ag/forestry outfits like builders who have started to use fast tractors/trailers for moving kit about. Ag/forestry/hort are still exempt. Exemptions A fast tractor will not have to undergo a commercial vehicle test if it is used: for the purposes of agricultural, horticultural, forestry, farming or fishery activity solely within the State and mainly on the land where such activity takes place, including agricultural roads, forestry roads or agricultural fields exclusively on a small island. This exclusion from the requirement for compulsory testing will apply to all of the islands off the Irish coast. It is important to note that an exemption from undergoing a commercial vehicle test is not an exemption from the requirement to ensure your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition when it is used on a public road.
  17. Just need to be sure they send out a driver that understands tree dismantles, you really dont want clumsy crane driver M&M would be my choice irrespective of distance, Sean knows and understands what he is doing. Bob Just us titting about with it in the yard, this is it full out and there is bolt on fly jib that puts another 15mts on top of that
  18. So its roadside trees, are you supplying TM? Supplying your own makes a huge difference to productivity. Bob
  19. A bit of landscaping around a new tennis court, had to lose the clay spoils from the court build and import a few hundred tons of top soil to cover it. Will be seeding this and there is a planting scheme but for the moment we are just getting all the gear in before it gets too wet.

Easiest way is at the post office Wes, fill in a v112 and use "A" as the exemption and tax it as agricultural machine. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/737342/v112-declaration-of-exemption-from-mot.pdf There have been changes to this as of July of this year, a normal "B" car licence an ag vehicle over 7500kg has mileage restrictions but not if you have the correct license for the weight/combo of the vehicle. Tractor tax classes have all sorts of restrictions on weights ,mileage and uses. Ag machines under 3.5mts wide dont. Still flicking through all this so will pull down the relevant bits and paste them up later in the week. Bob
  21. Goblins seem to be shifting tons of coni atm, spotted this tiny goblin struggling with some dirty great lumps so gave her a hand. She has a small stove at home and uses it in that.

Just buy a dodge/ldv/bedford 4x4 and register it ag/forestry, then fit a tipper body. Cant get any easier and bullshit free than that. Drive on an ordinary car licence up to 31 tons, down side is no motorways. They have left this exemption in place for ag/ forestry for some strange reason but have done away with it for limited use and plant registered vehicles based on an hgv chassis. Bob You nutters out there can legally drive an MOT exempt, tax exempt, O`license and tacho exempt tug like this on a car license using red diesel if its for ag/forestry use the same as a Mog
  23. Does sound like a torsion bar problem, could well be the bar , the mounts its anchored on or on the cab end of things. Take a squint at the link below and see if you can make some sense of it. https://nissan.7zap.com/en/er/cabstar/f24m/141+1312+1608/m/952/ Bob
  24. Give Coppards a call, they have a lot of this kit for self drive or with an operator. https://www.coppard.co.uk/pages/quick-links/forestry.php Pics https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipMc6mfYwZdWeygbu5O0hkRCXvuIpVk-Z45HnbkxxFmGJP1Xn9iA4RgdKI3IEwV1Gw?key=d0E1U0Nqc3lSYU5tSDYzZzZRUjRQMFFneU1yelNR
  25. If you can find an ali planked transit/shepra tipper body they can be disassembled very easily and trimmed down to size. Normally about £300-£500 complete with all the tipping gear and a weekends work to fit. Bob
