    Hello!

JB is not going to be happy about the competition http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=196587&stc=1&d=1452178254
  4. Its got a fulcrum point and takes a handle so I will go with some sort of lid lifter lever gizmo. It could probably be used to pry open Jon mendiplogs wallet Bob
  5. What I was getting at Spud was this kit here does both the 357 and 359 HUSQVARNA 359 357XP CYLINDER AND PISTON ASSEMBLY 47MM WITH GASKETS & BEARING NEW | eBay Its probably crap and I will take your advice and go for the meteor barrel/piston set but wondered if the bigger 47mm bore is a worthwhile gain. Bob
  6. Spot on Mick, we could have all gone on and shared our experiences with importing motors from outside the UK, getting motors through the basic version of IVA and what that entails, dealing with customs and shippers but hohum. Bob
  7. I was watching the box of 357 bits but it went past my comfort zone I have a small pile of tired 357xp`s ( my favourite small saw by a long chalk ) I am going to attempt to resurrect a couple of them which brings me to the question of piston/barrel kits. There are a few different kits out there, some are 46mm and others 47mm bore. Are the 47mm ones a big bore kit with a power advantage or is there nothing in it ? Bob
  8. A friend of mine that`s into his old Bedford J series trucks took an extended holiday in Auz, on his travels he happened across a Bedford in the middle of nowhere with absolutely no rust whatsoever, also no paint left on it at all where the sun/sand/wind had blasted it. Anyway he shipped it back to the UK last year and it cost him £1500 but he did load the truck up to the neck with loads of other gear as well, just a cruiser may well be less. Bob
  9. There used to be one at Guildford Burger king once a month , you just need a lowered Escort and wear a baseball cap the wrong way round. Bob
  10. You will either need to swap the motor for a bidirectional one or frig the pipe work and spool valve so there is no way of reversing what you have. There are no seals you can retro fit in a motor case that will take that kind of pressure. bidirectional motors usually have a seperate pipe to relieve the case of pressure as on the mulcher head below. Bob
  11. Chipy, not all hydraulic motors can reverse , some of them put the case drain into the return internally which make them directional. Connecting the wrong way will pop seals straight out. Are you sure that you have the flow running round the motor the way intended? The only other thing I can think of is that the return line on the machine is under too much pressure. Easy enough to test, just connect the return to dump straight into the hydraulic tank. Bob
  12. How on earth did they arrive at those figures? Did they offer to tarmac your drive as well? Bob
  13. Crazy prices here for a truck thats not allowed in the LEZ`s that are being rolled out across the country. There are plenty up for grabs in Auz at reasonable money but it will cost £1500 to get it here + a bit of import tax unless you owned it out there for a while. Auz ebay 2006 Toyota Landcruiser UTE 4x4 | eBay , remember thats 2 auz dollars to the pound. My uncle that lives out there reckons they pay more for landrovers out there than Toyota`s. another one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-Landcruiser-4x4-2000-Cab-Chassis-Manual-4-2L-Diesel-Seats/121853021470?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140106155344%26meid%3D97ebdfab7d034e7e9c648ad2d755af59%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D262215387802 Bob
  14. In box is full of cizzer, logs, verbal diarrhea and sawdust John :thumbup1:mate :thumbup1:John Bob:sneaky2:
  15. Chris I would give IW a call and see if they could supply the seals if I was you , its not a big job to change them yourself. Most of the hydraulic shops will give you Rohypnol prior invoicing so take the KY with you if you do decide to let them repair it . Bob
  16. A friend of mine is doing stand in nights which only involve four hours driving and four hours studying porn while they load/unload , he is getting £250 a night. Bob
  17. I will list it on arbtrader for and on your behalf Graham I will check it tomorrow and torch it if there is Bob
  18. Wonder what the story is behind this one deep in the regen we were mulching. Its crashed into the tree in front but god knows how the back end got shunted.
  19. I think you need a name that folk remember like Ians Target trees or think about where your name will end up in the directory listings if advertising which normally run alphabetical. Z to the back. Bob
  20. Thats a credit to the pair of you, men in sheds:thumbup1: Bob
  21. I use them on occasion, chaps stop them filling up with sawdust:thumbup1: Bob
  22. Its a 6 cylinder machine , silky smooth and ultra reliable. Its never had anything done other than service work and the odd hose, it will load over the side of our bulker trailer and can dig into our stockpile of road planings as if it was top soil so its a handy bit of kit to have around . Downside is as said they are slower than the modern equivalent and if you spend a whole day in one you will know you have been in there. For occasional work I would say go for it. Bob
  23. We have an old 6 ton Kubota relegated to fires and general yard use, they have good lift / reach and two speed tracking but are a bit slow by todays standards to use on jobs. Will lift a ton plus with ease. Bob

  25. That makes sense, no good leaflet dropping at a block of flats which is probably what happens if you get others to do it for you. When I was lad ( here we go ) the news agent I did a paper round for used to stuff the newspapers with local traders flyers. At least with a newsagent you can target an area.
