    Tiny echo!

It keeps him happy and doesn't cost anything, leave him alone
  2. What happened to them doing bob a job ? Is it Brexit again ?
  3. I get that with Birch and Ash trees growing in every available bit of soil in the shed gutter and garden.
  4. He probably thinks if you start doing the job you will want the pro climber rate. If you are supplying your own saw to run his business that's down to you, suppose it broke would he replace it or pay for a repair ?
  5. Page 8 of today's Sun there is about 1/2" column space saying that plans to fell about 60 Lime trees planted 1918 in honour of fallen World War one soldiers have been met with opposition. Bit late by the look of it.
  6. They should have gone lots of times, they were in the grounds of a nursing/old folks home.
  7. Common sense prevails, they will build another nest when they are ready to mate again. There used to be a rookery near here then one year they all just upped and left for no apparent reason and the site has been abandoned for decades now.
  8. I don't Never had one fail.
  9. It's probably that bloke in the hi-viz p!&&ing on it that's killed it. Don't they realise that if they go somewhere else and look at their place the tree becomes part of the view. If they kill all the trees off there will only be grass left to look at, where's the poetry in that. Trees Related Poem Content Details BY JOYCE KILMER I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray; A tree that may in Summer wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain; Who intimately lives with rain. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree.

    Axe/Hatchet

This is the chainsaw section, try looking in the hatchets and axes section.
  11. I don't. I'm retired and have nowhere to go in a hurry. I love to see the driver behind drumming their hands on the wheel in 30 limits Our street is actually a 20 limit and if they ever set a speed trap up it would rake in thousands and result in quite a few bans. I might stand outside with my hi-viz jacket and a black hairdryer one day just to see their faces
  12. If you are hiring the equipment out and supplying the wood to cut surely you could throw in a beard
  13. You can buy the 58cc or 52cc saws on eBay for about £60 new. They had one at the farm for a bit, plastics were brittle and brake was soon shot. It was a thirsty thing as well.
  14. Or made it into a big see saw There were some mature white poplars down the local fishing pond that gradually lowered themselves to the ground with the prevailing wind over a number of months.
  15. I put debris netting up as an idea and noticed that the system shown there uses the same stuff. We use it for screens in the garden but it is very strong, use it as a hammock. You could make an enclosure from line pins and tie wrap it on to hold it it's easy to work with and dirt cheap. You can buy 50 metres for £20 and tie wraps are cheap. Double it up if you want stronger. You can buy it as garden netting as well in different colours.
  16. Echo 361 wes comes with a 14" bar, I'd have one if my 135 packed up.
  17. I found a meme looking round the internet the other day and it suits this thread down to the ground. I had to laugh in the queue at the supermarket when a lad went past in his check flannel and blue cut off jeans with beard and topknot with head shaved up the sides, tan work boots. The young woman in front of me looked at him and after he passed she said "knob". I nearly cracked up.

    So Fed Up

You might as well bring beermats
  19. Turn it over with your electric drill before you spend any money on it if you suspect it is no good.
  20. You nicked his punchline, you is a bad man

    Fake or not?

It could have been dropped and had some new or aftermarket plastics fitted, plenty of options on parts. If it looks a bit suspect and is too cheap there's always the option to pass it up but it's always tempting if you think something is a bargain.
  22. It sucks the fuel mix into the crankcase on the up stroke and it enters the cylinder through the transfer ports. If you want to see into the cylinder you need to take the exhaust off.

    Fake or not?

It looks genuine. The fakes get the choke lever and on/off switch wrong and that one has the proper ones.
  24. I will be having a ride out to Northern Arb for a couple of chains as soon as I have shaken this stinking cold off but I put a new Stihl chain on my 036 a while back and found this did the same as you are saying there. I just stopped the saw and pulled it out of the cut backwards then started again I think I was just being over enthusiastic. Back to the Lem Sip now
  25. That was surreal.
