  1. If you'd fitted a different bar or a full chisel chain would they refuse to cover you ? Can't see why making the saw better would make a difference plus I doubt if insurance would strip the saw to see if the ports are standard.
  2. Dealers would need to have a calibrated pump like the ones at fuel stations and you could have a card payment system and self service to save them time.
  3. Weird that, I posted the same on my tablet using the app last night just after the let them rot away post and it's not there. I suggested beavers or termites
  4. I'd have cut a bigger gob and cut from the back. I wouldn't have thought of doing a bore cut.
  5. Isn't a fisherman's knot for joining two pieces or making a loop ? Only asking as it's one of the three knots I know
  6. I don't know the best nail varnish for tree surgeons but I saw an advert for Texas chainsaw Mascara the other day.

    Wormy Logs

I brought some wood in for the stove last year and put it at the side of the boiler. It had been there for a couple of days and a brown flying beetle came out from under the bark and proceeded to fly round the room like a small drone. I caught it and let it out and next day another one emerged. They were coming out of some oak so I burnt it first. Now if I suspect any wood is infected I bring it in and burn it straight away no worries.
  8. Bacon is proof God loves us, g;yphosate is probably the only thing that will save mankind from Japanese Knotweed. [ame] [/ame]

    Chainsaws.

I've only got 5 Better start looking round. What's the difference between a CS-352ES and a CS-361WES apart from about £50 For me these days it's the lightest thing that will do the job as well
  10. That's probably why you aren't making sense I'm not defending the neighbour. If the trees were there and a reasonable height when they moved in and they have grown in a short time (as Leylandii do) then what will they be like in a few more years and how much more is it going to cost to sort out later ? Doesn't anyone else have a problem with the trees, it's not 6 o' clock all day and it must affect neighbours on other sides at different times of day. I agree the tree owners are being thoughtless and they look like Leylandii which are thoroughly horrible trees in the wrong setting which is any garden not attached to a stately home.
  11. Why, have they got boyfriends ?
  12. Were the trees there when you moved in and have they gained much height while you have lived there ? I think there is more context needed to get a fuller grasp of the situation. Looking at your picture if I was the neighbour I would be glad to see the back of the hedge as well.
  13. Not sure what happened to it. The plug looked like it had been running a perfect mix before it seized.
  14. Please elaborate, I'm sure the original poster will be pleased to hear your explanation. I will continue in my disillusioned state along with a lot of other people. Just read my post and it should say coniferous evergreens not conifers or evergreens, sorry for any confusion. Holly is an evergreen and a hardwood of course but not coniferous.
  15. A Stihl 044 with a poorly piston. Bloke said it had had a pot and piston before but it has a Stihl cylinder which should clean up with some brick acid. The saw was filthy, fetched no end of greasy sawdust out of it.
  16. Any deciduous is hardwood, conifers or evergreens are softwood. Funny because balsa is classed as a hardwood but I don't make the rules So your Lime is hardwood.
  17. Some come on a bicycle And some go on a bus. Lyrical innit
  18. It's not far from Derby if that's any help
  19. Whose nose can he pick then ? We got some nose pickers round here, nose picker da english I had an aunt on my mother's side who was twice removed, once by the police.
  20. 135 was not toolless, that was 135e. I've had a 135 for 4 years now and it's lasted better than my friend's Stihl 181 bought at the same time. Mine does get regular maintenance and cleaning though. I use a Stihl as well and a Chinese top handle just don't feel or understand the need to slag other makes. If anything comes loose on mine it gets tightened up not used to destruction.
  21. Really helpful stuff there
  22. 56 is the number of links for the Husqvarna 16 inch bar. If the Oregon is wider it may need more drive links. If you fit the chain to the bar groove how much is left to go over the clutch?
  23. Back handle something like the Echo CS-281 WES, 26cc and 3.1kg dry weight. If it's wood small enough to carry a bow saw might be a good idea, lighter than a chainsaw.
  24. There is nothing in a breather to close it off so it is constantly open to allow for the expansion when it heats up and the air to enter when fuel is used. What is the point of the thread ? Some people get lucky and don't have problems with leaving standing fuel and some are unlucky and need carb repairs. It would be wise to put some fuel stabiliser in if left for months, How many saws do you see on sites like Gumtree with "it worked when I put it away but it won't start now" or "was running fine but now won't tick over" ? I know I've seen lots.
  25. I doubt it seeing as they are in Basildon It's only about 200 miles away though.
