  1. I had to look for stage 4.Is this it ?
  2. It's that money you paid them as income tax and NI contributions so they can give it to good causes. I reckon we should sign in at the House of Lords, the daily allowance is £323 now and it's tax free.
  3. That's my theory as well. A friend of mine really likes his 2511 but it sheds plastic and cracks all the time, he just keeps repairing it.

    Old ms 180

I did a carb kit on one of these recently and the off wire was springing out of the holder on the choke lever. I used a small tie wrap to hold it in and it is still working.
  5. I had to open up the L screw a bit on my Husqvarna 135 using Aspen as it would not rev up from tick over.
  6. Don't know but it's a bit late to ask now anyway Do they have a good returns policy ?
  7. Book one week, they'll give you the rest for free.
  8. Holzforma made by Farmertec who are definitely Chinese. I've had some bits for saws from them and they are good at copying original pattern parts but the plastic is not original quality and the copies are good but not perfect with some of the materials used just not as strong as OEM but they do the job but probably not for as long as original.
  9. You can get them at Tesco they are sole distributors
  10. Superstition was that it is bad luck to burn Elderberry indoors. Best not to tempt fate
  11. I had a stone in a trunk which somehow got under the chain and stopped it dead. I had to straighten the link in the vice before it would go back in the bar slot. If it hadn't been a nearly new 20" chain I might have scrapped it but it works perfectly again so worth doing.
  12. I think it started with blowing the bar sprocket then a reference to Swiss Tony (who is not gay) who likes beautiful women. I can't see how running a chain tight makes it blunt or has an effect on climbers sexual orientation,
  13. I think Spud had the pleasure ? of working on one a few years ago. I've never seen one but from working on disc cutters I think they sound like a recipe for hearbreak and with a decent chain at over £150 I would look long and hard at any alternatives.
  14. I've been using my Chinese top handle on Aspen2 for a couple of years now. It doesn't get used a lot but it doesn't have any problems when it is used
  15. My old Dynamac DY41 was 25:1 but it has run happily on Aspen2 with no additional oil and the added benefit of less smoke.

    Chain oil

Or to attract rodents when the saw is stood.
  17. Give the primer a few pumps between starts.
  18. And an aerosol or sprayer with brake cleaner, wear some glasses or a full face mask as well.
  19. What's the point of the skeleton chain brake lever ? I have never found myself in a position where the lever has caused me any problem with visibility ? In a commercial set up they would be frowned upon but whatever floats your boat. I suppose they will still function till they break.
  20. Get a few 6mm holes drilled in the baffle before you put it back together.
  21. I always fancied an 038, there are 3 different versions apparently, AV, Super and Magnum in 3 different capacities. I ended uop with an 036 which is very similar and has been a good saw.
  22. Is the engine dying or is it still revving when the chain stops cutting ? Could be fuel, compression or if it's still revving the clutch would be suspect. Get a phone video of what's happening might give more ideas and your location in your profile would help if anyone local would know.
  23. Then just hang a chain round them and rip them out by the roots

    Shindaiwa 389S

You don't have a location in your profile, where on earth are you ? I can't help you with the saw as it seems you will have the only one left in the country if you are in UK so probably that is an omen.
  25. There's a Portek on Amazon for about the same price as the Machine mart version .
