    Orec mowers

I thought they made vacuum cleaners. They are well thought of in the hotel cleaning trade. That is spelt Oreck so may be a different firm.
  3. There's an avenue near us that gets done every few years and they look nice when they are getting ready to be done again. They have been in there over a hundred years and a couple have died off but the rest are still going strong. Rather see that than none as above.
  4. They look like the Ash that shoot up all over our back garden from a tree up the road. You don't notice them for a few years then all of a sudden they are 6 feet tall or growing out of the brickwork in the wall.
  5. A friend of mine has an electric saw which doesn't cut very quickly when the chain is on backwards as well I didn't give him too much stick about it

    Yesterday

Were you skinny dipping on the firm's time, how cold was the water ?
  7. I thought it was going to be a thread about the royal family. What are coronet cuts for ? I thought it was just to make it look like the branch had broken off naturally. Paul beat me to it with his explanation
  8. On a 4 lane system the 4th lane is the outside lane so you can not use the 4th lane but can use the other 3.
  9. Pish, tosh and poppycock !!! Anybody else know any more good tips
  10. I'd send for International Rescue, Thunderbird 3 would have that out in no time.
  11. You've probably just not been spotted yet Even an overtake if you're dragging anything is a breach of the law same as you should not exceed 60 so in theory not going fast enough to overtake most traffic.
  12. I was directed to use the third lane once by a police vehicle when I was towing our caravan. He was tail end Charlie behind a convoy of low loaders with static caravans which took up two lanes of the carriageway and I still felt reluctant to do it, could have been a trap I like the theory that you could reverse down the third lane with a van on and not get done because you would be pushing the van not towing it but you'd have to be a bl00dy good reverser to do it while overtaking at 70mph
  13. They use a file card brush to clean files, it has much shorter bristles than a wire brush. Files shouldn't be dragged backwards in contact with the metal you are filing at all as it blunts them eventually even though they are hard.
  14. It's about 5 times the size of a Dremel though. A flexible extension would be a good addition to it.
  15. It was good first time round as well
  16. Did they win by two wickets or three lengths then ? Not really a football sort either.
  17. Air over hydraulics on the wagons I used to shunt the air held the brakes off so if the air failed the brakes locked on. Here's a nice thread to read about RB44s
  18. We have a trailer tent and have been in the C&CC for years. Local club meets are a good way to get out for not a lot as long as you have your own facilities. We camped on a school playing field in Mablethorpe, went on a nice meet in Wells next the Sea and spent a few days at Rutland Water last year. The C&CC sends a magazine for you to find where the meets are and they are bound by club rules so you don't get noise and loud drinking parties that go on all night like some of the commercial sites we have used.
  19. Good turn of speed when the churn came off Nice video.
  20. You can using a pressure washer
  21. It's an inboard clutch as well, he would be a bit slower on an outboard one without captive bar nuts.
  22. Crash for cash disable their brake lights so you can't see them braking. If you saw them come on and just weren't quick enough it's your fault but they should have some reasonable explanation for their action.
  23. But if you drive legally the cars behind will still be held up because you are limited to 50 on normal roads and 60 on motorways and dual carriageways and not allowed in the outside lane same as artics which they don't seem to know about. I've always towed trailers and caravans and have been amazed at some of the risks taken by drivers to get past when all they need to do is show a little patience as I always try to let them get by at the first opportunity.
  24. Mix them some plaster of paris, corn flour and sugar to eat and put it where they can easily get at it.
  25. Good result for you
