  1. The ring looks to be free in the groove. What do you mean by running bad, is it not revving or not ticking over or dying under load ?
  2. Some nice pictures, today I pressure washed the greenhouse and it was 32°c in there, this afternoon we had sleet, hail and thunder and it's cold again.
  3. I had to clean the carb twice on ours because after the first time and fitting a new diaphragm kit it still wouldn't tick over. Primer bulb should pull fuel through the carb.
  4. Are you pushing the choke lever all the way down ? It sounds like it's starting on half choke ms170+starting+procedure - Recherche Google WWW.GOOGLE.COM

    Stihl 015

    Are chainsaws dishwasher safe ?

    3120 Value?

What's it worth to you ? A new one's £1296 at Gayways. Out of stock, 3 to 5 days delivery in the advert.
  7. There's a 394xp for sale on gumtree for £650.

    No oil

Is the oil hole in the bar clear and aligned with the supply pipe ?
  9. There's a 266 for sale on Gumtree about 3 miles from me but he seems a bit optimistic with the price for a "rebuilt" saw with no bar or chain.
  10. More likely the seeds self set, I get hundreds every year off the tree at the bottom of the garden. They are tiny you could fit 20 on a thumbnail and they blow everywhere in a strong wind, sometimes there are so many they block the gutters. The tree is getting trimmed back and will have to come down soon as it has started to rot at the bottom.
  11. While it's off check there's no scoring, bad scratches on the piston by pulling the rope till it comes into view in the exhaust port.
  12. That sounds like the bolt covers, they prise off with a thin screwdriver and there's a Torx bolt underneath.
  13. Isn't the tank and handle an integral part ? If it's leaking between the handle and the tank is sounds like it all need replacing.
  14. Sun's shining here and it's snowing a blizzard at the same time right now.

    Chain oil

I don't bath in it and it doesn't vaporise. I use it because I don't use my saw all the time and have seen the results of leaving veg oil standing. Half a drum in a garage soon turned into a lump of jelly that wouldn't pour out. That was Stihl bio oil.

    Chain oil

Peanut oil's good for stir fries as well🤭
  17. The bar oiling system is pumped not driven by crank case pressure. When you say the oil isn't really flowing how much oil is coming out of the bar feed hole ? It does only creep out of there not come out in a jet. Try some thinner oil.
  18. Be sure to put some paper and kindling under them for the authentic look 👍
  19. There's a stop pin that you punch in to let the adjuster turn a bit further on some big saws
  20. Husqvarna T540i XP is our most powerful battery-powered top-handle chainsaw, ... X-Precision Laminated bar .325” mini PIXEL 1.1mm Small bar mount. If it fits the criteria any manufacturer's bar should work, is it the correct pitch ? Contact chainsawbars and ask what you should have.
  21. I don't like them. 😉 I've tried a few and they come loose.
  22. Do all the battery Makita rear handle saws have the idiot's chain tensioner ? If they do I don't want one.
  23. I use them for firewood cutting on my Husqvarna 135. They are cheap enough so I have half a dozen, plenty of standbys for when you hit a nail or a stone and they last well. I use them till I have 3 or 4 to sharpen then do them with the Lidl sharpener.
  24. Did you keep the rings on the locating pin on the piston, did the cylinder go back easily ?
  25. Some of them have new plugs in already, three should tide me over
