  1. +1 as I've had loads of problems with mine now 2.5 yrs old, but I still like em for some freakish reason😀

I heard it was a mcculloch as they were more robust back then😀

According to the RFS article it is not uncommon for blood test to come back negative in early weeks so identifying the rash is vital although 1 in 3 don't see a rash. It's also worth noting its not always a bullseye
  5. You have to prove functional need and viability by obtaining 3 yrs temporary planning in which time you need to show an agricultural wage for at least one of the years. As with most things in planning law a lot depends on the lpa s interpretation of the guidelines. Chapter 7 ( set up bySimon Fairleigh) are a good source of help and information. I know of a couple of developments where they have got planning with relatively small piece of woodland which is used as base for charcoal production and feedstock coming from elsewhere

    From RFS quarterly. Interesting read
  7. I had ex Anglian water mk like aspens ( with Perkins phaser and 070 hiab) and it was 12.5 gross
  8. Sorry for sounding cynical Will, and I'm quite surprised you've found plot for that money with planning, I've been tied up in planning battle with lpa for 13 yrs to get residential in my wood, like Mortimer, I'm too far in to give up and if I'd known the stress it would cause my family (particularly my long suffering wife) I probably wouldn't do it again, but I am a stubborn git so who knows. Having said that I now have lpa on side, no locals oppose and only the VERY misguided Norfolk Bat Group are against me as apparently the smoke from my kilns and the smoke/noise drives the bats from their roosts, which is odd as I watch em most evenings and as we've thinned the wood their hunting grounds have been improved and I have ongoing ecology report to support this! This is just to permanently stay and in future when finances allow I'd like to build a timber frame and sit my current home (pictured below) on top ( a new take on upcycling?) GOOD LUCK😀
  9. Something residential for 70k hahahaha😀 sorry! But really?
  10. May be able to help what part of broads?
  11. Think the wood is fairly fire resistant also (coastal redwood anyway)
  12. Nice chainsaw boots😀
  13. What size is it?
  14. 😀 part true, cos not all have the same properties, I believe the coast redwoods are the best but when they felled the Sierra giants they just shattered and weren't a lot of good for anything (but they carried on anyway!). Check out the book "They Felled The Redwoods" I think it's just been reprinted, incredible old photos and the full story.
  15. Blimey, that is a good sized area, and you make a good point about the road proximity but do they have them in Spain and are they a real problem (and if not what's the difference gonna be here)? I presume it's mostly coppice, so devastating as it may seem it'll come back
  16. Have had two 357xp s and they are excellent saws, still got one and intend to send it to spud for the treatment when I've got the cash. BUT my one criticism has Ben the fuel tank is prone to leaking along the seam underneath. Happened to both saws and first replacement I got leaked n all! Anyone know if there any way of repairing long term? I've had some success with s.glue n cardboard but lasts a couple of months😀
  17. A knee jerked in the right direction can be a good thing, although it's very sad that they have to harvest the whole wood (what's its acreage?) think of all the other chestnut woods, including more sssi ones I'm sure, in the south that could be affected, there was no such action taken, apart from saplings being destroyed when ash dieback hit the news, it is now EVERYWHERE in East of England and much further afield, this year it's really taken hold with most coppice regen going back several years is pretty muck dead , not to mention P Ram! Admittedly there's no guarantee as they don't know it'll work cos they don't know how long the wee beast has been here but surely hitting it hard at the first sign may be a good thing?
  18. Wow that's fantastic! There'd probably only be one nipper afraid of it but pre nursery schools are rarely democratic, my kids would've loved it when they were little😀 gotta be worth £7-800
  19. Nice one, nothing wrong wi that! 😀 do you ever hav to add more fuel before it starts producing flammable gases?
  20. Would've thought stock fence was farmers responsibility. I'd go with cleft post n rail on the road side cos it looks great, lasts well and is in keeping with your region. Is it a coppice wood with sweet chestnut? If so you're on a winner as you could produce your own materials.
  21. Not pricey when compared to a zollern muli ! Although not as versatile well worth the money😀
  22. Was chatting about the zelkova on the way back from rfs trip to holkham estate today and I said I knew of another similar sized one between Beccles n Norwich, my, much more learned, colleague knew of the tree but was convinced it was a hornbeam but neither of us had been passed it for a while so we stopped to have a gander and thought I'd post a pic for anyone interested, although it doesn't do it justice as I couldn't get far enough away!
  23. Large charcoal fired hog roaster (ace!) and a set of tower scaffold (the sort the Irish fellas used to sell before they dropped onto ping pong gennys etc!)
  24. timbernut

    wow!!!

Hit the nail on the head👍🏻
  25. Think you misunderstood: if they accept COC then the item is more likely there!
