  1. Having had a small amount of experience with firearms officers, (call out to a farm whilst pigeon shooting) I would not want to be running around outside a house in the dark with a pistol of any description when they turn up. They take their job very seriously and like anyone else, want to go home at the end of the day. Tools are not worth being shot or jailed for imo.
  2. Where's the walnut tree vid...
  3. I would say don't go kit mad. Know a brilliant tree surgeon who has bugger all climbing gear. Know a few part timers who look like christmas trees with all the shiney bits. not saying either is wrong, but you can get through with very little.
  4. Very roughly between 300 quid and a grand depending on the type of company you employ, their standards of work, how desperate they are for the job, whether you want the stump ground out, what sort of things are under the tree etc the list goes on...?
  5. Surely if hes a northerner it will be chip butties?
  6. Is it coming down, down already, or buyer to fell?
  7. I worked in a sawmill about 10 years ago, we used to bag all our sawdust and the livestock hauliers would take it to put down in their trucks. Apparently western red cedar smells nicer than pig shit.?
  8. Sounds like dealers can't be arsed. I ordered one for a 560xp from my local dealer, took a couple of weeks as wasn't one in the country, but no big deal. Don't know where you are but Nathan at Devon Garden Machinery, (google number) is always very helpful. Otherwise @shavey on here does import them from time to time.

  14. Hi Erik, would love to see more images of the machinery/vehicles you run, the kind of work you do there is kind of a different world to here in the UK.
  15. Eurogreen @ Titnore Lane used to take chip free, not sure if they still do.

  22. We've got a Hunter Parkray Consort 7....don't know if its exactly modern but its not too traditional either...I absolutely love it, it runs flat out all winter.
  23. For pedestrian a carlton 2010 is cheaper but capable (secondhand) but will make you feel like you've had a bit of a beasting at the end of the day, a predator 460 is a much nicer machine to use, but dunno how good it would last long term, I hire the buggers when i need one.
  24. fair enough mate.
  25. sounds a good way to be picking pieces of metal out of yourself or worse....have messed around with bird scarer bangers a fair bit when I was a lad but petrol can be very nasty...
