  1. Domestic/homeowner saw I believe. If you are looking to go full time at some point best to go for a pro saw, a reasonable 346xp can usually be found for a few hundred quid.
  2. Having wasted my time and effort discussing guns on a certain other tree related forum with a high US membership, I have changed my thinking on this. We are ruled over by a monarchy/goverment, we have never had a successful revolution, and the guns we can have are only those that we are allowed by our government for the purpose of hunting or target shooting. Whereas the USA is a republic I think, they have the right to bear arms in order to rise up in defence of the freedom they secured in their revolution. This has bitten them on the arse in the last few years as we have all seen, but I certainly don't have any answers as to how to sort this.
  3. I've actually got one of these air pistols, I can't see the link you have posted, but mine is a co2 power jobby, 8 shot I think, the max limit for these is 6 ftlbs, it will only dent the end of an empty beer can. The one you have posted may well be more powerful, but as lads we used to dick around shooting at each other with this sort of thing, I am afraid you may well be disappointed with its performance. The biggest danger I can see is being shot at by plod if you or someone else is waving it around. Some armed forces are jitterier than others.
  4. One on ebay atm for 500 quid...seems cosher...its not mine, I would be buying it if I hadn't just bought a 395xp so am skint.
  5. Having had a small amount of experience with firearms officers, (call out to a farm whilst pigeon shooting) I would not want to be running around outside a house in the dark with a pistol of any description when they turn up. They take their job very seriously and like anyone else, want to go home at the end of the day. Tools are not worth being shot or jailed for imo.
  6. Where's the walnut tree vid...
  7. I would say don't go kit mad. Know a brilliant tree surgeon who has bugger all climbing gear. Know a few part timers who look like christmas trees with all the shiney bits. not saying either is wrong, but you can get through with very little.
  8. Very roughly between 300 quid and a grand depending on the type of company you employ, their standards of work, how desperate they are for the job, whether you want the stump ground out, what sort of things are under the tree etc the list goes on...?
  9. Surely if hes a northerner it will be chip butties?
  10. Is it coming down, down already, or buyer to fell?
  11. I worked in a sawmill about 10 years ago, we used to bag all our sawdust and the livestock hauliers would take it to put down in their trucks. Apparently western red cedar smells nicer than pig shit.?
  12. Sounds like dealers can't be arsed. I ordered one for a 560xp from my local dealer, took a couple of weeks as wasn't one in the country, but no big deal. Don't know where you are but Nathan at Devon Garden Machinery, (google number) is always very helpful. Otherwise @shavey on here does import them from time to time.
