  15. Depended how it was grinding. Starting from the edge they were big, straight down on top they got smaller...but by the end of it they were definitely smaller so I guess it must have been dulled. There was a fair bit of debris in both stumps, which wouldn't have helped, but I checked the teeth before I returned it they all were still a fairly uniform shape on the cutting edge:001_smile:
  16. Nice grinder Bob! but the mog needs new wiper blades:thumbup: The teeth werent too bad, though I don't have any photos to prove that:sneaky2:
  17. Can't speak with authority on the power side, as it's the first big grinder I've ever used, but once it had been running for a few hours the hydraulic operation of the head slowed considerably. I think u can fiddle with the flow to combat this, I guess the reason was it was getting hot hence the oil was thinning. Working alone definitely didn't helped. Still, got it done and got paid.
  18. 2 cylinder Lombardini 29hp I think....fills up a trailer fairly well...
  19. I wa working on my own, I didn't have the advantage of a flunky
  20. I did wonder if it was the best tool for the job...and yes, it's a handful...even with a remote...the switches have very little sensitivity... Mick you are absolutely right about a day for both. Actual grinding time would have been approx 6.5 hours I reckon, but cutting/digging foreign objects out, preparing the stumps and raking back chippings, took almost as long as the grinding.
  21. Two stumps, two days, is a good machine to use, but boring:001_rolleyes:
  22. Lime full of rot pockets and bits of flint....blunted three chains....the macra carpa had a rock in the middle of it
  23. First one I have used...have worked with people who owned them. Was a bit of a baptism of fire.
  24. Yes hired. The biggest one i could find.
