First day back milling, had a bit of an issue with the mill vibrating but sused that out some of the feet had come loose I might swap the nuts for nylock, used the torque wrench set to the same as the old mill and that sorted the tension so a good day, half a butt of monkey puzzle to go and then its Walnut then Mullberry what a cool start to the year. Happy New Year everyone

  7. I have seen nice big slab tables made from it but on an tv program from the US dont know if it would be a diffrent type ,if it was me I would be tempted to mill a few 4/6 inch slabs strap them up and see what happens even if it cracks badly it could be used for resin tables
  8. Very cool floors ,also seen the penny floors ,I dont think the rustins stuff my mate used was that expensive ,just gashed my lip on a sharp can of beer 2bits of kitchen roll to make it stop bleeding

Hi Rustins do a resin for wood floors I helped a mate do his it was engineered oak flooring but I think you could use anything that was dry enough we just mixed it up and poured it on not very thick but when dry it was cool as sadly he is now divorced and moved or I would have taken you some photos

  14. Hi Les in the manual with my new max there isnt a torque setting I did wonder if it would be the same as my old one and my wrench is prob still set at 25 ft_lbs will give it a go after Crimbo off to Radstock to get some racking with a mate today

I have a 240 makita track saw and its ace a real good bit of kit the only down side is it will only cut 2inch deep I do have a monster of an old makita circular saw but sadly it will not run on the track and they dont make a plate to convert ,I defo would not get rid of my table saw though who ever said that if you have a track saw you dodnt need a table saw is totaly wrong I think .

So I changed the band on my new mill from the one that came on it to Ripper 37 and set the band tension to where the little diagram said to and now the mill is vibrating quite a lot and the handle for the tension is rattling loose has anyone else had this if so did you use a torque wrench and what setting did you use Thanks Mark

So since I broke and dislocated my ankle almost 3 yrs ago I walk with a bit of a limp and as a result of walking funny I have developed Plantar Fasciitis ,policemans heel ,and its F###ing painfull the advice is exercises and "comfy flexible wide fitting work boots" so have any of you had this and if so what boots did you get ,there isnt anywhere near me where I can go and try some work boots on .   21. Hi the airshield is ace you can sort of blow the filters out and they are suitable for mdf and asbestos
  22. Hi Saul containers down hear are a grand or just under and like I said the tesco delivery truck backs are 650 we have an old site office in our yard and I just cant decide either turn it into a kiln or upcycle it into an office type thing
  23. Hi I can get you one of those insulated box,s that they use for the tesco delivery trucks they are well insulated I think my matey wa selling them for 650 but you would have to get it from his yard near bristol
