So using ripper 37's so should not be a problem ,all Chris Pierce said to me was not the same tension as Woodland Mills bands and it would be trial and error not the after sales service I was looking for to be honest ,I built it by the book been over it twice with the spanners to make sure everything is nice and tight if I push any slower I will be walking backwards ,as for tension it all looks fine on the visual band stays where its ment to be ,What the F##C am I missing its doing my head in I font mind the wavy lines in this last of the monkey puzzle but I have a big Walnut butt next in the line then 2 mullberry and I want the nice finish I first had ,someone come and help

  3. Hi Les I dont think I am pushing to quick comparing to the vids I have been watching I dont vary the revs that much ,so Woodland have guys in this country any idea how I get in touch with them.

  5. I think I will send the photo to Chris Pierce and see what he has to say I want to talk to him about the paint starting to peel its kept in a lean too under a tarp f##c I havent had it 12 months .
  6. ,So when I first set the mill up it was fine then one of the feet came loose so sorted that and went all round the mill giving every nut and bolt a quick tweek so I just cant understand whats going on ,I did try over tension ,looked at tracking ,saying not to worry and other mills produce this sort of finish ,well when I first had mine it was doing such a good cut I only needed 120 on a sander so obviously I want that back

So yeah changed the band set the tendion with the tq wrench and still getti g the same its a band of groves about 6inch wide every foot or so ,and the mill is vibrating a bit much any ideas I will take a vid on monday to see if that helps,doing my head in I have a nice big butt of Walnut next so dont want grooves in it Thanks Mark Thanks

I like the resin stuff and the litchenburg ,I love doing both ,but I do think like you Jon the river would look so much better flowing down the stairs if anybody wants a river or any other type of resin and or litchenburg table,box,cupboard etc please do give me a shout ,could do with some work thats for sure ,with no shows,fairs etc

  11. So today changing a band I noticed some of the powder coating is starting to peel already, my mill is in a lean too and covered with a tarp when not in use, I haven't had it that long, and its a Sawmill its meant to be outside anybody else had this problem Cheers Mark
  12. Hi I have always used 404 chain and a Granberg grinder I got from Rob D never had a problem with it about £60 I think good bit of kit

  16. Good luck finding Wadkin manuals on line it took 2 of us ages to find one for my thicknesser and dont bother with the people who bought Wadkin they are quite unhelpfull ,I will ask my mate where he found the manual for mine
  17. Ha Yandles are so expensive some nice timber but small bits mainly I would only go to Yandles if I had no other choice
  18. Yeah I milled some spalted ash came from a log pile at a local wood show saved it grom the giant chipper ,made kitchen shelfs out of it I think I may have a small bit left somewhere ,some ash I have ringed up for fire wood then kicked myself when I saw the grain inside so totaly worth a go
  19. Hi the guys at Transwave totaly know what they are talking about and better still they said if I ever want to sell my converter they would have it stright back off me and part ex on a rotary converter if I wanted thats cool in my book

  22. Hi mate I looked into 3 phase options for ages talked to people who make the phase converters and I think at 13k you would need a rotory converter and it would be expensive I can give you Pete at Transwave Converters if you want he is a font of knowledge and would probably have a good idea
  23. I have my chainsaw tickets and nobody has ever asked to look at them even when I got my 880 and that could do some damage in the wrong hands but as I dont have a climbing ticket I cant buy a top handle saw ,now thats mad
  24. Yep if its Ash and fresh cut the pinkyness will fade away with time
