  1. Blimey, is that section of the road covered in slimed green leaf mould? Best take an alternative route if you can. Could be worth alerting your council highways dept to inspect/ steam clean.
  2. Good that you are thinking of safety, I'm sure StihlBen will let you know what you'll be needing to wear, and maybe he'll have some spare PPE for you to wear? Don't worry about being a bit overweight, ground work will sort that out! Worth keeping a check on ebay, etc for used gear.
  3. So many to choose from!..... Owen Paterson | Member of Parliament for North Shropshire
  4. It's crazy that there aren't more companies making or supplying them. .... I contacted Milwaukee technical department a while ago to see if they'd be interested in working on some kind of bandsaw for milling, but they didn't seem to be that arsed.
  5. Darn, I did think of you....was hoping you could sort it out Rob! Do they have to be CE marked? I think a grand is at the upper price range for what it can do; but then again, it does have more moving parts compared to an Alaskan mill. In theory it could pay for itself pretty quick. The RipSaw is exactly the thing I was trying to explain to the guy who's selling the circular saw bench (SilverClaw)... I think there's a huge market for something like this in the UK. Proof is in how popular the Alaskan mill has been.....
  6. Got a portable chainsaw/bandsaw for sale mate?
  7. great to hear this, and credit to you for seeing beyond the ranting & for giving him a second chance.
  8. Good pile of hard work there. What did you use to split it all? Cheers
  9. Haha! Thanks mate. I've started a new thread for the Ripsaw thingy.... you are welcome to hijack it!
  10. Been looking for anyone that makes chainsaw to bandsaw attachments and someone here (thanks Alec) mentioned 'Rip Saw' Ripsaw portable sawmills - welcome It looks like a perfect side partner to the Alaskan chainsaw mill. - Rip through the big stuff to get it down to size with the Alaskan, - and do final dimensions with the Ripsaw Thoughts on this, and any other manufacturers, UK importers interested??.... Here's the RipSaw in operation on youtube.... [ame] [/ame]
  11. Exactly, perfect, just what I want!! .....waddya mean I can't buy one here in the UK????? This deserves a thread of it's own! (Sorry difflock, i will stop hijacking your thread now).

    Saving water

Only just found/seen your photos, thanks for posting them No worries on the quality of your toilet.... Looks posh to me! (I had a bucket n chuck it compost toilet in a shed for a couple of years/ lotsa spiders lurked in there!) Your setup looks pretty complicated. Did you consider raising the rainwater collection tank and having larger diameter pipes feeding into the cistern?....ie, completely gravity fed and without the electrics. Cheers, steve
  13. Good man, respect to you for apologising, many wouldn't
  14. Have you found any companies making a bandsaw equivalent of the Alaskan chainsaw mill? ...ie, working on the same principles/ being easily portable, etc
  15. Oh dear, best not mention this thread on your CV matey ....and to summarise today's lesson in communication with fellow human beings "Patience is a virtue" (which means 'be patient, it's good to be patient'). Hope this helps
  16. Have the police done anything?, and has the seller been reported to eBay?
  17. The BBC forecast said "sun all day today".... so I was half way through servicing the car and then it rained quite heavily a couple of times. Chilly wind as well. But regardless of the rubbish weather prediction; the car is now fully serviced
  18. Yay! Good, great and grand to hear this
  19. Really sorry for you mate. Is worth posting a photo here if you have one so we can all keep a look out for it.
  20. A paper clip to manually eject the computer CD draw.
  21. Haha, most important question to ask yourself is "dya like the colour?"
  22. (Nothing kinky) ....are the police or ebay actually doing anything about getting the guy in hand cuffs?
  23. A paper clip as a cotton bud.
  24. Looking at this picture, and judging by the sticker that he couldn't be bothered to remove, I think this ebay probably originated from Honey Brothers
  25. Wales next....
