  1. No worries Roni, sometimes it's hard to get the right balance with sharing info on the internet and we all overstep the mark sometimes. Will be good to find out what Husky decide to do about it as I'm interested in the husky battery saws. Cheers, Steve
  2. Hey Roni, it's good of you to highlight the problem you've had with the saw as it may help other users take further safety precautions, with gaffa tape or whatever?? Completely understand that you are miffed that it's gone wrong & this must be frustrating..... give Husky the chance to do a thorough check, I'm sure they will be taking this seriously. Cheers, steve
  3. I know someone that has used it lots and it's really worked for his business (not arb related). I do wonder about the long term benefits of Adwords, etc due to the shear amount of competition.... more & more companies are using it and from a search engine user perspective it's feeling really crap, to get pages of companies selling whole manner of consume everything results. I see Google has dropped the 'Discussions' link from their search options.... trying to drive users away from seeing all those little independent blogs, etc. It's all about the money at Google.
  4. Show us some more photos of the dismantle if you can mate. Cheers, steve
  5. You put your chainsaw in, You pull your chainsaw out, You put your chainsaw in, And you shake it all about, You do the hokey pokey and you turn around That what it's all about..... Run!!
  6. Jeeeezus!! That looks massive!
  7. Ah okay cheers Wardy The airstreams aren't smooth leather, more of a suede finish. Dya think this stuff would work okay?.... Fabric and leather proof | sponge on / spray on waterproofing
  8. Yep, I gave it 6 pumps before pulling the cord, using the start up sequence exactly as it says in the manual (from cold). Cheers, steve
  9. Retaliation could land yourself in hot water (in the eyes of the law) but self-defence is an entirely different matter. Self-defend yourself all the way and if they run away, don't chase after them looking to give them a beating
  10. What are you all using to waterproof your airstreams? I found a bottle of NikWax under the kitchen sink but not sure if it's the right stuff?
  11. A Silky Fox book?!
  12. Cheers chaps, hmmm, maybe it's just the smaller Airstream sizes that are a much tighter fit/ undersized? I squished around in quite a few deep muddy puddles yesterday and no signs of leaks, very comfortable. Washed the crud off at the end of the day. Cheers, Steve
  13. stoners wouldn't do this, quite the opposite.... they'd be very cool & groovy, dude! (Alcohol is a different matter)
  14. Seeing it from their point of view; emails are generally kept private so I think it's a fair point.
  15. Nice skateboard
  16. I nearly didn't buy one... but really glad I did. Saves time/ energy/ & helps to work safer. All good Cheers, Steve
  17. Yep, used the Woodchuck for the first time today on a 2.5ft wide fallen hornbeam + on a hung up Abies Grandis. ....and with the extra leverage I felt like Arnie Schwartzenagr! (spellcheck that). Cheers,
  18. Is your starting problem just from cold? Will see how mine continues and let you know.... Cheers, Steve
  19. Finally got to firing up my new 550xpg today.... Took me ages to get it to start, about 30 pulls! Then it fired, smoked a bit, cleared itself and then attacked some chunky hornbeam (made a load of slithers) for 3 minutes, followed by 2.5ft hornbeam trunk. Refuelled, tightened chain, then moved on to a windblown (& hung up) Abies Grandis. Zipped through that like butter! Apart from the initial starting problem, it's been ace; an amazing lightish saw with surprising power. Looking forwards to using the Sugihara 18" blade on it....
  20. Good stuff, cheers Jon
  21. Where did you get the foot? Definitely would like to get one of those
  22. Bloody brilliant! Bargain at £88 Products for the category: Forestry equipment
  23. Here we go again!....I saw that advert, next minute I bought quite a few things from Rob at Chainsawbars ? chainsaw chains, chainsaw bars and chainsaw accessories ....like it or loathe it; as an advert it works very well (gets people talking), drives visitors to the website. That's the 'nature' of advertising. Cheers, Steve
  24. Yep, doesn't get more rustic than this! Some have been pulled out of a swampy area next to the brook.... could be many 1,000's of years old! I'm hoping critters and bugs might like to live on the wibbly wobbly wood and eat the aphids (aphids enjoy buggering up roses).
  25. Bloody heck, that really ain't good!! Glad you are safe & I expect it's played on your mind. Cheers Steve
