    550xp Bar

This has been discussed in other threads, so worth searching for a read of those. Overall it seems 18" is the maximum you'd want to use on the 550xp.... but the Husqvarna spec does say maximum 20" bar; if you're thinking of trying a 20" let us know how it goes. Cheers, steve
  2. Don't worry about getting hundreds of 'likes' ....just let your 'likes' happen naturally. Having genuine 'likes' is far more important than falling into the 'number of likes' trap. Yet I also see no shame in promoting your page here on Arbtalk (where there are lots of genuine likes to be had). Anyway, never mind all that.... What I really wanted to say was: Keep your facebook banner at exactly 851 pixels wide and 315 pixels tall, and under 100kb in file size (saved as a JPEG) to avoid facebook downsizing your image to their own crappy fuzzy compression setting. Hope this helps
  3. Not worth the risk in my opinion.
  4. I wonder if he had permission to cut them down? Perhaps that is why he works so fast - frightened of being caught....
  5. Yeah I agree all thefts should be reported. Anything happening beyond that is rare! But yeah some things are returned once in a blue moon.
  6. Looks very handy and well constructed. Noticed the ball hitch at the back, what have you been towing? Cheers, steve
  7. Sorry to hear this - thieving swines. And I agree about the chocolate teapot.
  8. Must be on piece work. Yep, a nutter, yet looks safer than many others!
  9. I think the Husky battery model has the most power, but don't quote me on that. cheers, steve
  10. Thanks John, fair point on the CE stuff and H&S/ insurance liabilities ; but I would like to add that I've not read of any RipSaw injuries on other user forums, and it appears to have good guards. I think you read me wrong.... I'm not trying to compare the RipSaw with your Transformer saw; I was trying to highlight that there is a gap in the UK market for a highly portable small bandsaw that one person can carry into the woods, that doesn't rely on a bench (like the RipSaw). Looking forwards to seeing your videos. Cheers, Steve

    Saving water

Yep, be good to have a link to that pump please, cheers, steve
  12. No worries Roni, sometimes it's hard to get the right balance with sharing info on the internet and we all overstep the mark sometimes. Will be good to find out what Husky decide to do about it as I'm interested in the husky battery saws. Cheers, Steve
  13. Hey Roni, it's good of you to highlight the problem you've had with the saw as it may help other users take further safety precautions, with gaffa tape or whatever?? Completely understand that you are miffed that it's gone wrong & this must be frustrating..... give Husky the chance to do a thorough check, I'm sure they will be taking this seriously. Cheers, steve
  14. I know someone that has used it lots and it's really worked for his business (not arb related). I do wonder about the long term benefits of Adwords, etc due to the shear amount of competition.... more & more companies are using it and from a search engine user perspective it's feeling really crap, to get pages of companies selling whole manner of consume everything results. I see Google has dropped the 'Discussions' link from their search options.... trying to drive users away from seeing all those little independent blogs, etc. It's all about the money at Google.
  15. Show us some more photos of the dismantle if you can mate. Cheers, steve
  16. You put your chainsaw in, You pull your chainsaw out, You put your chainsaw in, And you shake it all about, You do the hokey pokey and you turn around That what it's all about..... Run!!
  17. Jeeeezus!! That looks massive!
  18. Ah okay cheers Wardy The airstreams aren't smooth leather, more of a suede finish. Dya think this stuff would work okay?.... Fabric and leather proof | sponge on / spray on waterproofing
  19. Yep, I gave it 6 pumps before pulling the cord, using the start up sequence exactly as it says in the manual (from cold). Cheers, steve
  20. Retaliation could land yourself in hot water (in the eyes of the law) but self-defence is an entirely different matter. Self-defend yourself all the way and if they run away, don't chase after them looking to give them a beating
  21. What are you all using to waterproof your airstreams? I found a bottle of NikWax under the kitchen sink but not sure if it's the right stuff?
  22. A Silky Fox book?!
  23. Cheers chaps, hmmm, maybe it's just the smaller Airstream sizes that are a much tighter fit/ undersized? I squished around in quite a few deep muddy puddles yesterday and no signs of leaks, very comfortable. Washed the crud off at the end of the day. Cheers, Steve
  24. stoners wouldn't do this, quite the opposite.... they'd be very cool & groovy, dude! (Alcohol is a different matter)
  25. Seeing it from their point of view; emails are generally kept private so I think it's a fair point.
