  1. He looks like a trouble he's a patterdale by the looks of him?. We've had a couple they were allegedly taken by some how u likeys. Great characters.
  2. Fair enough mate like I said it's only what we've been advised. Had terriers all my life never bad with children very obedient but little tykes for getting out and going on the hunt and not coming back for days. Only reason mention the beagles was because we've been researching for our young family's first dog and want something good with kids we enjoy a lot of long walks and want something that we can comfortably leave off the leash. It would without doubt be going to a lot puppy training sessions mainly for the socialising aspect as this is as an important part of the training as much as stop/return. Thanks for the comment would be nice to hear from any other people with experience with beagles. Kind regards Phil
  3. Beagles are supposed to be great hunters and great with children. Only off put for us is that apparently when the nose switches on the ears turn off. We like to go on walks and would like to have a dog we can let off the lead, I fear it would have to be on the lead the whole time in case it picked up a scent. I maybe wrong.
  4. Harsh lesson learned all for a needle runner bearing prob wasn't even necessary. I also question your tuition when doing your chainsaw maintenance course. We've only been running our 201's a few years and haven't had a full breakdown yet although they are gutless in comparison to the 200. Maybe worth just ringing a load of companies and asking if they have any in the graveyard.
  5. What's the story when it comes to aerial rescue and zig zag?/art grabs.
  6. Haha yeah I do like the battlefields. I have 4 but it's collecting dust at mo. This new cod partnered with scuf controller is overly addictive.
  7. To be fair there's not much between them if I'd been more worried about performance I would have gone to PC. Went with the majority of mates. Anyways it's getting off topic if someone wants to start a ps4 vs xbox1 thread there welcome. I was just thinking there might be some like minded ps4 players that enjoyed the game.
  8. Wondered how long it would take before we had a fanboy on here. I did a fair bit of research into both consoles b4 I bought 1. I always preferred my Xbox 360 over the ps3. It was quite clear that the ps4 was the better performing console. That and the fact that a few of the people I play with on 360 had decided on ps4 as well.
  9. Black ops 2 was pretty good couple of the maps were as good as kino. Recently dusted off the 360 and had a bash on both.
  10. Fair play I'll have both at some point no doubt but all though I prefer the xbox interface ps4 has one through on performance at mo.
  11. Hi thought I'd start a thread based on the above. Are there many people on here that play. I've been playing the cods for years def. The best multiplayer out there. Highly anticipating havoc! For some Exo zombies.
  12. There all fairly good. Few addictive ones. I was addicted to cod on my ps4 then discovered a few decent series to watch now im addicted to both. My poor wife.
  13. Arrow Agents of shield Banshee The Flash The tomorrow people Revolution Defiance Almost human Black sails Breaking bad Suits Game of thrones Continuum The 100 Extant The walking dead Z nation Just a few to get you going if you haven't watched them already.
  14. I've swapped from regularly using a gomataro to the tsurgi it's great for reductions thinning etc. I thought it maybe a little flimsy but it's not by far the best silky I've used to date. I'm a lefty so the nakanoto not great for me as its holder is suited for right handed. Same with curved saws as well I've used them both perhaps it was the hindrance of struggling to put the blade away but neither of them were as good for me.
  15. Signs cones stop and go. Assuming there's enough room and a clear view for on coming traffic plenty of hi vis. If there wasn't adequate safe distances then it would have to be factored in and traffic lights may be necessary. A well managed job will avoid unnecessary accidents. Sorry to hear about your friend.
  16. To me it looks around £500 for 4 guys 2 controlling traffic 1 on the chipper 1hr and 1/2 work. Price would be based on half day for four. I would contact the elec. company but you can see its insulated they will possibly send someone out just incase but it's unlikely as nothing is over the cable.
  17. Nice mate good effort 4 1st back I need to commit I keep putting my carving saw on board but find myself sat down at lunch.
  18. If your going to be milling you will need a decent saw mini mill ms260 the bigger mill will need at least a 441 or the the like. If your chainsaw carving you'd be alright carving the smaller logs with the smaller suggested stihls you'll need some advice on carving bars etc. Rob D on here I've heard is the man for this if you need to purchase. Watching lots of vids will help. But I strongly recommend a course to learn the basics.
  19. I'm sure there is probably more to this than meets the eye. However my opinion is that if the climber doesn't feel comfortable doing the job then he shouldn't do it yes he might be fine doing it but I would think there would be more chance of an accident if they weren't confident. Wether disciplinary is necessary this is the point where there may be more to it than just the incident possibly. Personally if it was one of my guys id ask what the problem was if it was something I thought I'd have no problem doing myself perhaps if I had the time I may well do it just to reassure them that it was safe to do and therefore the next time it ever came into question they would know I'd do it and think twice at passing it up. Perhaps I'd offer further training and help work on their confidence. Maybe send them on a course or advise them to educate themselves further with regards to biomechanics of trees. The company giving a disciplinary if it is for this 1 case alone and given that all facts have been included in the 1st post, then I think they are completely in the wrong.
  20. I'm 32 been climbing since I was 17. Been work hard play hard. Had 1 major fall from 45ft about 10yrs ago. Climb 5-6 days a week. I feel it in the mornings lower back and knees at mo. Think I need to get on the cod liver oil. Love my job hoping to cut down my climbing days and do some quoting over the next 10yrs and then branch into the consultancy side of things.
  21. Great work there. Stick some PPE on and you'll get a lot more respect. Your lucky it wasn't a Bloody Mary you were creating. Keep the quality carves coming looking forward to seeing your next piece.
  22. I think we'd all move to North Devon if the money was this much there. No offence meant.
