  1. I bet deep down somewhere in your Arb Soul you really miss the climbing, rigging, lowering and all that hard work don’t you john? Then again May be not ?
  2. Your doing the right thing John by not discussing wages etc for every man and his dog to see, like you say that’s to talk about at a interview stage,it’s still early days and you will know when the right person comes along,it’s to good a job opportunity to be passed up
  3. Going by the photograph it looks like a access road to estate or similar so time is important so not to be disruptive for as long as needs be so I would get at least 4 on the job and equipment as I said and crack it out as soon as possible. i would be pricing this job on a price as I do on all my work between £2.4k & £2.7k once Price agreed down to you how quick you want to crack it out. had a similar job last week so I decided to get extra help with another 3 lads Chipper and truck and a job what would have taken me and my 2 lads a good 2 days we cracked it out and site cleared and tidy by 2.30 same day. 0k had to pay out for the lads and extra truck and chipper but was still well up for basically half days work and clients were over the moon with how quick we were and no problems with payment, people don’t like to be disrupted to much. each to there own how you price and carry out jobs but in this game more then most time is money big style.
  4. Way to cheap for that job...try and get another Chipper & Truck + Man there are plenty about that means climber 3 on the ground 2 Chippers and 2 Trucks if your tip site is that far away one can be filled while the other is of site or find closer tip site. price for the job and calculate how long you think it will take, looking at the job from photographs using 3 on the ground and 1 climber 2x Chippers & 2 Trucks you should do that in 2 days max may allow another half day £2’400 to £2’700. i normally get ripped apart when I post reply’s to anyone asking for pricing jobs on here so remember we all have our own way of quoting for work so this is a guide as to what I Would price this job at and others may agree or disagree.
  5. Well I suppose my surname being Pugsley instead of Banksy I could go Pugsy...
  6. Have got the 165p sub 750kg on order and I thought about having a different colour and was going for a metallic silver and black mix but changed my mind and have gone for a reversal of green and black with the main colour being Greenmech Green with black. As Said previously I had the 165 Eve diesel for a month and it was such a good Machine in every way except just to heavy at 1000kg and the petrol weighed in at 880kg so I have gone sub 750 which suits my needs more.?
  7. Chipping performance goes hand in hand with reliability,it’s no good a machine chipping tons per hour if it keep breaking down it’s false economy...so my vote will be Greenmech who have nailed reliability with through put.
  8. It’s simple really Josh..just replace your 150 with the echo CS-2511..shame you can’t borrow one for the day.
  9. More like 30 for me..o well foreman’s job for me next if I ever decide to go on the books,Brain can do what the body can’t keep up with?
  10. Christ John still no takers?????? What do they want...jam on it,what an opportunity for someone to drop into a set up like that...Am sure someone will step up to the plate, best of luck.?
  11. Wow that’s good if that includes VAT...come to think of it it’s still a good price with.got mine from forest and Arb they also give a good price..I didn’t pay £495.
  12. It’s the CS-2511 you looking for josh just go on the echo website..it’s around £495...?
  13. Josh I have both the 150 and echo 211 and to be honest I always seem to pick up the Echo...power to weight is fab,it’s so light and has real grunt for a little saw,I took the steel Gause out of the exshaust and it’s even better,it’s as close to haveing a hand pruning saw with an engine on it that you can get(at the mo)9/10 from me.
  14. Yep the Evo 165p is 880kg and the 165D 1000kg..As said I had the diesel on demo for a few weeks while my 150p was waiting to have some work done on it as they couldn’t get me a petrol one. The Evo is a different animal and a fab Machine and as said just to heavy for my needs, didn’t want a diesel and will always have a Petrol so I put and order in for the 165p which was 880kg and I think you can still have one if you want but then I was told they have redesigned the chassis, git rid of spare wheel and I think a lighter flywheel and managed to get it down sub 750kg so I went for that instead as I need to be able to move it around by myself. But even though it’s a much lighter Machine the power to weight and torque is much improved and I like the big horizontal rollers and bigger access hopper.
  15. I was just joking buddy...would be funny though to turn up with your Big Green Machine ..think you should call it The Hulk...just don’t make it angry.
  16. John...your Chipper could chip my Chipper....and my truck come to think of it...you got some great gear..I would love to turn up to an old lady’s house for a fruit tree pruning with all that gear..be quite funny..fair play buddy.
  17. I have just put an order in for a Evo 165p sub 750kg....I had the diesel version on demo for a couple of weeks and it’s a fab Machine but was just o heavy for me at 1000kg as I do need to be able to move it around by myself..but what a Machine..the petrol version is 880kg and is even better but Greenmech have tweaked it a bit mainly the chassis and brought the weight down to 750kg I think the main reason they have been able to keep the power is to keep the 37hp petrol engine and the anvil is 90kg as apossed to 60/70kg on the 130 & 150.The only thing i’am disappointment In is they have done away with the folding funnel of the 750p Evo which is on the other 2 options.got to be 9/10 Machine would be 10 but for weight and no folding funnel on the 750kg.
  18. TFB..are overrated and over priced..best part of £500 for the new version...WTF...pricing by name not quality...perfect example of if it not broke don’t try and fix it.
  19. I’am in the same position at mo and after doing a bit of research and asking a few questions I have decided to go for the TreeRex..it ticks all the boxes as far as usability is concerned and it’s not silly money either...plus it looks good.
  20. Glad you posted as always nice to hear both sides of any story....and like I said in my previous post they are new kids on the block and i’am sure they will iron out any issues over time.
  21. Wouldn’t want to be a forst sales man...think you would need to have one of there Machines on demo for a good few weeks to be able to gauge anything...I personally wouldn’t waste my time or there’s as it would definitely be a no sale.
  22. Bet there is quite a big pile there then going by the comments on here....maybe someone with a different point of view about forst will comment on here? If they don’t then I guess we’re all right in what we say.?
  23. Seems like overheating is a major issue amongst other niggley downtime issues...once you have a Machine that’s continually breaking down and or having little things go wrong you quickly lose confidence and always waiting for something to go tits. Thats not to say that every one has had trouble and they think forst Chippers are the dogs...but personally the well established makes such as Greenmech,Timberwolf, etc have ironed out a lot if there issues over the years and i’am sure forst will do so in time but for now there ideas are good but reliability is key and they just haven’t quite got it nailed yet.
  24. I have the forst guy ring me at least 2 times a month asking if I want a forst on demo and I tell him every time even if they did me a one made of Gold I wouldn’t have one...I started with Greenmech and will stay with Greenmech...have just put an order in for the new 750kg Evo 165p...have a 2018 150p to either sell private or trade in...sometimes I get the feeling these sales guys especially from forst are trying to hard with trying to move there Machines and are far to pushy....i here more bad then favourable things about forst to even consider buying one.
  25. Your funny.
