  1. Hi john....ya we both know they are only doing there job and trying to earn a crust but it wears a bit when you have to keep saying thanks but very much no thanks...I feel like telling them the reasons why I don’t want one if there Machines and about all the horror stories you hear about there reliability or rather lack of it but that’s only having ago at the little people and small cogs in the big wheel of things who know near as next to nothing of the bad press the machine he is trying to sell you gets...all the crap feedback needs to go to the top and may be just may be they could get there act together and produce a better product that what they have at the moment. Hope all good with you and your family buddy.
  2. Use a mid size chainsaw and cut down the line were the cut of stump meets the rest of the trunk down as far as you can then cut from the bottom upto the first cut you made it won’t look pretty but in time it will weather and you mite get some secondary growth but you can deal with them quite easily.hope that helps.
  3. And the list goes on and on....isn’t that telling you that overall FORST are not up to the standard of other makes....I get the forst rep ring me at least once a month even trying tempt me into buying there machines but not a cat in hells chance...ok never say never but all the feedback which is what happens in this day and age is never positive...would like to hear some comments from others who have brought a FORST and have had no major issues which leads to major down time and aggravation.i wouldn’t say any machine is 100% guaranteed to work without fault but surely when it continues to fail no amount of apologies and service guys coming around to fix the problem is acceptable...get it fixed, get rid and get a machine you can rely on..in this game time is money.
  4. Who said anything about spitting there dummy out?you have reeled of a major list of problems with a brand new machine and as you said it’s costing you money and aggravation on down time.....you would be perfectly within your rights to ask for a new like for like machine...trust me you will never have any faith in that machine again no matter how many time s they repair it and keep getting it sorted.
  5. Wow..and I won’t start by slagging Of FORST it not called for or helps you in anyway but that’s quite a few things going wrong with a brand new machine and like you said the service your haveing is as good as it gets but I would guess by now you have lost all faith in this particular machine and without going on and on I would suggest you ask,no on second thoughts tell FORST to come and get the machine and give you a replacement and start a fresh....have you got it on finance or brought it?either way use your warranty as you have purchased a sub standard machine and it’s not fit for purpose.
  6. Hammerite wax oil spry(Black) £9 a can easy to use.
  7. No your quite right there...I would have been to embarrassed to tell anyone I had.🤫
  8. Ya I should know better really🤪
  9. Cheers Doug it’s all good fun especially when the weather is shit it gives a few of us to pass and hour or two.👍
  10. Please don’t think I was being off or funny I was just saying how Posts evolve and move on from one topic to a completely different one it’s quite interesting to read. Thanks for that K but i’am an Asti man myself....champagne tastes awful but nice thought and will we have to tie ribbon on the bottle and smash it over the fold down chute, definitely margarita 👍😂
  11. It never ceases to amaze me how Posts start on a simple relevant subject to do with Arb work,Trees etc and within a short space of time it rolls on to totally different matter, this post started off about a new Chipper and has somehow turned to drug selling and how it gets delivered, and being shot with a shotgun....I must be getting old or need to get out more.🤪
  12. God if only you knew Gary he is a real handful he reminds me of one of my favourite animals stoats and weasels,he is just 100 mph and fearless..I have always had spaniels up to now and I thought they were energetic but Jesus Weaver is just crazy but lovely at the same time,he is really head strong and is proving a challenge to train as he gets bored very quickly after about 10mins and as soon as that happens when training a dog you just have to stop.
  13. Hi Gary....that’s sounds positive and good looking all ok and if she is eating that’s a real good sign she is on the mend...still strange what caused it though🤔
  14. First snow of the year and Weavers first experience of the white stuff and he loved it running around like a loon couldn’t stop him and took ages to get him in the house.....some dogs just love it where others won’t even walk on it.
  15. Hi Gary any news on what it was that caused her to get poorly, did they do any test on her? She looks comfy and now she’s past 48hrs she should make a full recovery but I would be concerned what it was that caused her to deteriorate so quickly.
  16. That’s the kind I have got looks like it can take a knock, can take photographs or video on a sim which you take out when retrieved and put into a port then into your device...such a lot of technology for peanuts really and I think it will be a good asset for certain tree operations.
  17. Really strange...you got any poultry or pheasants running around as I know there is a lot of bird flu around at mo...obviously I don’t know if affects dogs but who knows?we have a swan rescue centre just down the road and the lady who has run it for over 30yrs has had to have all the rescue swans about 40,all her own ducks & chickens culled and we have had 60+ swans dye on the Severn in Worcester...like I said I don’t know if bird flu effects dogs etc but you just do t know...real strange she went down so quick.🤔🤔🤔
  18. Bloody hell gary close call...thought you were going to say she found your chocolate stash and had eaten the lot😋glad all ok buddy bet you were panicking, any idea what it could be,tick bite maybe and ya I know probably wrong time of the year but could be lurking somewhere if you got sheds or hay bales, straw stored?
  19. K & Mark I would guess it’s not a case of just sending it up and hoping for the best,I will do some ground work and find out the basics and obviously if I need a license to use it,as with all these things the idea is good in theory but in reality it’s more complicated.
  20. And to yourself and your family Gand and have a good new year buddy👍
  21. Don’t ask me why but I brought myself one if those drones with a camera so it can sent it back to your phone or iPad etc...only £50 I thought it might come in useful for looking and trees canopy for broken limbs or nest or just generally checking what the tree looks like high up without getting your climbing gear on or squinting though binoculars...could be wrong but for £50 I thought give it a go.
  22. They do but fold but only to the side and not over hopper or engine cover.
  23. No they pick up really well...on my last machine and this one it has a vanguard 37hp unit which is more then enough and the anvil is around 70kg compared to around 55kg on my 150p. They had to redesign the chassis to a lighter one piece to keep it at around the 750kg wieght.
  24. No that’s all good and they don’t loosen,I wish I could say what the problem is but until it’s done I think it’s unfair to say at the mo...but it is a real easy fix and I felt it needed to be pointed out before they go fully into production as i’am sure it will be a good selling point for future buyers.
