  3. Hi Please let me know if you are having problems getting Aspen. I don't get time to check this forum everyday. Please call me 07568108953 or email [email protected]. Last week I drove 936 miles calling on dealers around Stoke and North Wales. Please contact me direct I am here to help.
  4. No, dealers having none in stock has to do with them not keeping up with demand. The main part of the UK get Aspen orders delivered with 3 working days and Highlands and Islands have a max of 7 working days for delivery. We will only send goods if paid up front or they have an account.
  5. Hi I was at Hereford Mower services on Friday and they have taken all the Aspen fuel I had in truck. They have 5 litres & 1 litres of Aspen2 and Aspen4. They LOVE ASPEN but have been making some changes to their business. They have taken an account forms that they will post to the office ASAP
  6. Hi, I was their last week they have focused on the other shop. Go to Aspen fuel and dealer map to find an other stockist. If you start using someone close to you who does not stock aspen give me their details and I will see if they want to sell it. Good luck Eddie
  7. Hi, The ethanol and solvents from pump petrol soak into the rubber components in the fuel system. Aspen has no ethanol or solvents and so over time will wash them out of the rubber parts and in some cases cause them to shrink or go stiff. There has been only a very small number of cases. The only things common to the cases I know of are: Large volume of pump fuel has pasted though the fuel system Large volume of Aspen has then pasted though the fuel system If there is going to be a problem it shows after 3-4 weeks of heavy use. These rubber components would fail after time when using pump fuel. We do a test to shown how harmless Aspen is by dropping polystyrene into it and it floats unharmed for months. Do the same with pump petrol and the polystyrene will melt within seconds. The rubber components will live far longer if Aspen fuel is used. Hope this helps. Eddie
  8. Hi all it's looking like a great show, I will be there with the Aspen stand so please come and say Hello and ask me questions I am here to help! See you all at the show Eddie
  9. I think from memory the Torx takes up slack on the throttle cable, so this would increase idle speed if screwed in too far. The other screw maybe a low speed adjustment. If so set this screw to get the fastest idle then slow the idle with the torx screw. Please post a picture as it has been sometime since I have worked on these. Hope I have been of some help.
  10. Hello all, Just so every one knows Aspen2 has a fully synthetic 2stroke oil in it of a very high quality. If you use Aspen and want to hire Stihl kit I can email you a Letter we have from Stihl saying Aspen does NOT affect warranty on their products. Don't for get you can always contact me at [email protected]
  11. Hi Mike, Let me know how you get on. Thanks Eddie
  12. Do you have a approved fuel storage container? Was it risk of fire or value of stock? Let me know Eddie
  13. Thanks Steve, Good to meet you to. Might have some more dealers soon. Please guys ask your local dealer if they would stock Aspen and tell them you would buy from them if they did! I keep being told "No one asks for it / It won't sell" Help me to help you!
  14. Great news New dealer in London Area! Chances Mower Services Garden Centre Old Kingston Road Worcester Park Surry KT4 7QH Tel 020 8335 3222 Please phone to check stock or let them know you will buy from them!
  15. Hi Just so everyone knows how it is. One pallet or 54x 5 litre can's is free delivery to a dealer or end user. A smaller amount of fuel we charge a flat rate of £20 for anything under the above. Hope this clears things up Kind regards Eddie
  16. Hi, As the other guys have said 2stroke oils have come a long way so if you run a high quality oil you can mix it at 50-1. Led was for valve lube but as the guys have said does not apply to a chainsaw engine. You could run Aspen 2 with no problems. Give me a call if you would like to talk more 07568108953 Hope this helps Eddie
  17. Yes thank you for a great show! We had lots of people asking questions and saying "Hi" Looking forward to the next AA show. Thanks again from all at Aspen

  21. Hi, Please let me know how you get on. Thanks Eddie
  22. Hi, Great to hear you like Aspen! Thanks for posting you freedback Eddie
  23. Hi, yes they have brushes but I have always found it better to fit a new B&S starter as they don't last if you mess with them. You can strip them right down, but it's a right pain to get the brushes back in. Might be one of the magnets has come un stuck and is rubbing on the rota.
  24. The other think is the gear on top of the starter motor my be jamming in the flywheel teeth. change it if it has any damage DO NOT OIL OR GREASE IT.
  25. Hi, when you said "it turns over" do you mean by hand? If it won't crank on the starter motor. 1st check if when the key is in the crank position you have live to the starter. Red lead held on with a nut shown in your picture. If not, see if you have live to the solenoid from the battery. Then hold the key in the crank position and test the other terminal leading to the starter. You should also hear a clonk from the solenoid. If you have no clonk then check the small wire for live when the key is in crank. If you have live on the small wire and into the solenoid from the battery then the solenoid is faulty. If there is no live on the small wire your fault is with the starter switch or safety switch system. Hope this helps Eddie
