I Totally agree with Barrie, Also a stabiliser will not fix fuel that is already breaking down. I know of at least one top manufacturer who makes everything from cars to outboards who has their own fuel stabiliser but they use Aspen4 in their own workshop for their small engines. A British ride-on mower manufacture could use a stabiliser and that would be cheaper for them but they have chosen to use Aspen4. The key with Aspen is the fuel is guaranteed to be high quality and the fuel burns very cleanly with a very small amount of carbon. Add this the low soot high grade 2-stroke oil and you have the ideal fuel for you and your air cooled 2-stroke engine. We put a number on every can of Aspen and so can guarantee it!

Hi, I have herd of some dealers charging £25 for 5l of Aspen2!!!!!! As Barrie as said the margin on Aspen is small so a discount can only work if your buying a pallet of fuel and having it delivered so the dealer has no handling. If you did buy a pallet you would get a discount and free delivery. Kind regards Eddie

Hi Dan, I have been to the Aspen factory and they only make ASPEN! there are no other names on bottles in factory and if people remember when Aspen was sold by Husqvarna the can said Aspen with Husqvarna in smaller writing under it. Aspen2 uses a higher spec oil as has already been pointed out. I fully agree with Barrie that Stihl will help Alkylate fuels and Pre mix 2-stroke more widely know and this will help sales of both products. Hi Hotrod, Give me the name of the dealer you use and I will see if they want to sell Aspen. We have increased our dealer numbers by over 60 in the last 12 months. I am working hard to get more dealers to fill in the gaps in our coverage of the UK. All the best Eddie

Hi Mobil1, Sounds like you had very good fuel to start with. Not sure if fuel you buy today will keep for one and half years and still work! So much has changed with pump fuel and this is still going on with more and more Ethanol being introduced. There is even a penalty tax if fuel does not have a Bio content!!! Kind regards Eddie

Hi, The dealer should have machine stickers that are the size of a large stamp and stick really well to plastic. Red for 2-stroke and Blue for 4-stroke.

We have a letter from Stihl dated 26/02/2009 That Aspen fuel does not affect warranty on Stihl products. Signed Hans Fairley. Every Husqvarna 2-stroke is run on Aspen in the factory

If you use Aspen2 you may find that your engine will idle slower. Adjust the (LA) screw in to get engine to idle at factory speed. You may also want to adjust the lower range mixture screw to give more fuel if the engine is not as snappy as running pump fuel. (L) screw unscrew 1/8 of a turn. You may not need to do any of the above and if you did you would need to reset if you returned to pump fuels. This only takes 30sec to do! I think Pro used chainsaws are some of the hardest working and Highly stressed 2-stroke engines there are! That's why some 2-stroke oils are designed for and around chainsaws. Kind regards Eddie

Or if Aspen is stored in a metal container over 10 years!!! 3-5 years in a machine or the plastic contains it comes in. Hi, I agree when I worked at a Stihl dealers I would always push the MS181 standard. The price difference between that and the MS171 is so small. The chain on the 181 has larger teeth and is stronger and I think the same weight.

Hi, If the local dealer is too expensive or won't contact us to deliver direct to you just choose another. It will be their loss. All they have to do is give us the delivery address and the costs are the same. I can't see why a dealer would have a problem with getting us to do all the work and they make the profit, but some are funny! Thank you for your comments and we will always be on the end of the phone or email for help or advice. I am planning this years shows over the next weeks so I will keep you all posted so you can come and say "Hi" We will not be selling Aspen at shows as health and safety say no and as above we want sales to go to the dealers. Hi, I did here of Husqvarna paying out warranty on a 3 year old machine because it had only been run on Aspen. Guaranteed mix and fuel quality as every container has a number on it! Kind regards Eddie

We do everything we can to help get them started and then they can order more as they see it does sell. I Chainsaw will, Aspen is sold in: 1 litre bottle (to try it or for camping stoves) 5 litre can (most common size sold) 200 litre drum (please add the cost of a pump and the extra handling) All the above sizes are for Aspen2 (pre mixed stroke fuel) or Aspen4 (unleaded replacement fuel for 4stroke engines and camping stoves). If you use Aspen fuel, fuel related breakdowns will become a thing of the past and all your kit will run better. Plus you will feel better as Aspen is 99% cleaner than pumps and is not TOXIC.
