    Hi all, I have a Stihl 180 with only one adjuster screw on the carb, is it possible to fit a fully adjustable carb and if so what saw's carb will fit?

    Hi Gray, Make sure the cans are fully empty and put a few at a time in house hold recycling. I would suggest you remove the label to save confusion. The 5 litre cans are made of the same plastic as milk bottles and so fine to be recycled. If you take 40 to the tip or fill your bin with them it will be seen as commercial waste and they have the right to refuse them or ask you to pay as with any other commercial waste.     It is the petrol making the plastic go hard and brittle. Aspen won't damage plastics or rubbers so yes they will last longer. Did you know we do a none spill spout for our 5 l cans?

    Hi, Fuel will breakdown even if the tank is full, best to put some Aspen in and run the engine so you know it as filled the carb. Draining is the second best and the run them until they stop to get as much out the system as possible. Pump fuels have changed so much in the last years very few engines will be 100% if left with fuel in them for over 2 months or more. Most manufactures websites will say not to use fuel over 30 days old in your machine. Hope this helps Kind regards Eddie

    The System on the Disc cutters is to pick up that 2-stroke oil is in the mix. There is a dye in special the Husky oil for this engine, without it the engine will run but not rev up. So you could still damage the engine idling on neat petrol.

    Did you know if you buy in bulk your dealer may give you discount? Ask your local dealer and see what deal they can do on bulk orders. I understand the difference per litre to pump fuels but one written off saw plus the down time and this is cost difference is gone and you would still be working running on Aspen.

    If you want be sure on warranty with oil just use Aspen2. Approved by Stihl and used by and recommend by Husqvarna. No question on quality of oil mix ratio or fuel quality. The oil used is: JASO FD/ISO Global EGD

    Be sure to get the right battery for YOUR machine as MTD use lots of different sizes. Also make sure you order the right terminals and the right way round so your leads will fit. It will be expensive but an MTD dealer should be able to get your the right one as a none gen and so cheaper than MTD. I have worked one MTD machines for many years. All the best Eddie

    Hi Harry, This is very strange! Funny how Aspen2 is approved by Stihl and used by Husqvarna to run every 2-stroke in their factory but this dealer is still not sure?!?!? I will contact them and get this sorted out. Please keep me posted on anything like this as we now have over 200 stocking dealers and it's good to get customer feedback from you guys.     If you were to run Aspen2 then they would be fine with the fuel and oil. They recommend Aspen.
