Hi, 2stroke engines might need (L) speed jet adjusting as some 2strokes run slower at idle on Aspen and/or the Idle stop screw (LA). 4stroke just pour it in. Aspen will mix with normal fuel but if your running a test best to run very low then fill with Aspen to be fair. Echo might be worth a look Japanese and no electronic carbs! The new kit with lean running carbs all suffer with poor running and that's why we have seen a massive rise in the sales of Aspen. Hope you have it fixed. Eddie

Hi, I get asked this a lot. Aspen2 uses a very high grade oil and so will cover all modern mix ratios. Look in a Stihl or Husqvarna handbook and it will say if you use there oil (good quality) mix at 50:1 or mix at 25:1 if using an other brand because they don't know how good it is. We have loads of our dealers who only use Aspen in their workshops and put it in every machine. They only use Aspen4 and Aspen2 and don't do any 2stroke mixing. Hi, I have found from my experience working in the trade and from the 244 dealers I call in on. Leaving the current pump fuel in any small engine can cause damage to carburettors that can not be fixed by cleaning them. If a small engine to be stored for more than 1 month I would not leave normal fuel in it. Better to replace the fuel pipes than have the cost of a new carb. If you look at most small engine manufactures web sites they say not to use fuel that is over 4 weeks old.

Hi all, Please DO NOT store machines with pump fuel in them! It can gum up the carb and even damage the metal parts in the fuel system. More carbs have been sold and fitted in the last few years than ever before because sometimes they can't be cleaned or fixed. (talk to your local repair shops) I would recommend the use of Aspen or run your equipment dry. Please don't leave fuel in your kit for any length of time. All the best Eddie

Remove battery under the seat and the battery tray. The Solenoid is on the end of the red live wire bolted on the inside of the body. Hope this helps.

Hi, I am sure you have checked the cutters are off, your on the seat and have the brake on etc... From what you have said it is dead and won't crank the engine? or is it the mower deck that makes it cut out? If that's the one with a F/R lever on the rear mudguard then check the switch behind the rear wheel in the plastic case as they can fill will grass and get jammed. get back to me with your findings. Hi Terry, When did you buy your fillpartner? Please check it looks like the one pictured as they have improved since they were first sold over here. You are the first person I have known of who does not like the Fillpartner. The only other issue we have had is if the are used with normal petrol and they jam up. But having said that they are for Aspen and only fit Aspen can's. Please PM me or post your broken Fillpartner to our office 3 Holly Close Sandford Wareham BH20 7QE I am away for two weeks from Monday, but will sort this when I am back if the office has not. Hi Rigger, Aspen4 is approved by Mercury Marine. Aspen2 FRT (the New Aspen) is mixed at 50:1 but burns with very low soot build up and no smoke so will be fine in you outboard because 50:1 is double the oil of 100:1 Any questions contact me by Friday on 07568108953 or [email protected] I am away for 2 weeks holiday.
