1. Hi all, in my travels I am hearing a lot about the Stihl MS200/201. This saw as we all know has carb problems. Most of these are caused by the Pump piston aka accelerator pump. Some dealers don't know it's there!! It has a small o ring which can fail and also the piston wears the bore it runs in and it self. If Aspen is used after the saw has run for a long time on pump petrol we recomend the o ring get changed as well as the diaphgrams. If the pump piston and/or bore is worn then you will get poor running no matter has fuel you use. Hope this helps.
2. Hi, Have those of you who say Aspen is too expensive tried it? Pump fuel is changing all the time last year it had 5% ethanol this year it will be 10% and who know what other things will be put in or taken out. Our fuel only has 10 ingredients which are the same in every can. We even give each and every can a serial number and keep a sample of every batch. Aspen is 99% cleaner than pump fuel and engine do live longer running on Aspen.

MS230 woes

Hi, change the spark plug sometimes they give a good spark out of the engine but not under compression. Always first thing to change quick and cheap. If it's hot restart sounds like ignition brakedown so use a inline spark tester when it's hot and won't go. If you still have a spark with the plug in the engine and the inline tester conected then you know all is ok with ignition.
8.
Hi, Having been in the garden machinery trade for over 20 years. I started at Morris Green in Worthing West Sussex. I worked up from building new machinery to being workshop manager. I left Morris Green after 10 years and started Eddie's Mowers in Emsworth. My own repair and sales business. I did all makes of machinery from hand held electric equipment though 2stroke to compact tractors. I sold Eddies Mowers after 7 and half years and went to work at Carters Of Swanwick in Southampton as a salesman. After 2 and half years at Carters I have joined Anglo American Oil as the rep for Aspen fuels and Agia Lubes.

9. Could the deck be jammed? check blades turn freely. Also check safety switch on deck engagement and grass box.
10. Great news let me know how you get on. I am working on getting more dealers in Wales.
11. Hi, A chainsaw that has run for a long time on pump petrol may need the diaphragm in the carb changing as ethanol and solvents soak into it and then the Aspen can wash them out causing the diaphragm to go hard or stiff. The Stihl 200T / 201T have a piston in the carb with an o ring on it this also may need replacement. If you run a 2stroke from day one on Aspen it will be fine and in most cases changing from pump to Aspen is fine. Carb adjustment. Aspen may case a slower idle speed so screw in the throttle stop to get to factory idle speed. Aspen is different to pump fuel so the low speed jet may need unscrewing to let more fuel in and keep the throttle response as snappy. Please ask me any questions on here or email [email protected]
