1. When I worked at a Stihl main dealers we had a guy using old engine to lube his bar and chain. The oil pump failed on his new Stihl within 2 weeks! Metal fillings had become stuck in the plastic parts of the pump and just wore it away. Chain oil pumps are only designed to use clean oil.
2. Hi Hope you have your saw fixed and running well. If not PM me with a phone number or your email and I will contact you to help. 200t, 201t you must always fit a pump piston kit. I have fitted them myself so will help all I can. Eddie Eddie Aspen
3. Please don't use old engine oil it will wear out your oil pump and bar. Why do you change the oil in your engine? Because it is full of metal fragments and carbon!
4. Aspen2 has a fully synthetic 2stroke oil but the fuel is much cleaner so even better than using Stihl green HP oil. So your engine will stay much cleaner.
5. Great news new dealer in Scotland! MacGregor Industrial Supplies Ltd 7 Harbour Road Longham Industrial Estate Inverness IV1 1SY Email: [email protected] Tel: 01463 277799
6. Briggs & Stratton SAE30 oil
7. There is nothing wrong with B+S engines I have worked with all types of garden machinery for over 20 years. As you say if any 4stroke engine is use on a slope it will have the chance of failure. Just so you know B+S new range of engines have the exhaust and carb on the other side to the old engines so they are not direct replacements. A honda will still fail if it has dirt in the carb causing fuel to fill the sump and if it is used on a slope too steep!
8. Hi, change the carb diaphrams and pump piston in your Stihl MS201 and it will run on Aspen
9. Marine 2stroke is designed for engines that run a lot colder because they suck up cold water. I would only use marine oil for marine engines and good quility 2stroke for air cooled engines in saws etc. We would not recomend aspen2 for Marine use. Aspen4 with marine 2stroke ideal.
10. It's a long shot, but try a new spark plug, plugs can give all sorts of funny running faults and it's a quick one to to try before major time is spent.
11. Great news new dealer Shinners Bridge Garden Machinery Unit 2 Shinners Bridge Workshops Webbers Yard Industrial Estate Dartington Totnes Devon TQ9 6JY 01803 865555
12. Hi, Great News! You can switch between Aspen and Pump fuel but you and your equipment won't see the full benefits of Aspen. You may find that the idle stop LA screw needs screwing in a little as some machines idle slower on Aspen. You may also find the L speed screw needs to be unscrewed to make your saw as responsive as it was with pump fuel. This if needed may have to be done when you use diffferant fuels. Any questions please email [email protected] or phone me 07568108953. Let me know how you get on!
13. Anderson Engine's in Andover are considering stocking Aspen please let them know if you would buy from them. Unit 102 The Commercial Centre Picket Piece Andover SP11 6RU 01264 336783 [email protected]
14. We offer new dealers free delivery and no minimum amounts on their first order. So the could just have 3 x 5litre if they wanted. We also offer a heavily discounted storage box for the fuel and free point of sale information. I also train the staff on selling aspen and what has worked for me and what works for other dealers. I speak to the workshop so they understand aspen and any tuning needed. There after they get free delivery if they order 54x 5litre/ 270 litres any less and they pay £20 P&P Dealers who promote Aspen will sell 54x 5litre each month or more!
15. Hi, I have just been on the phone to Strathbogie Saw Service who has Aspen2 in a drum but he will decant into your fuel cans. "No one asks for Aspen up here, there is no demand for it" So please ask your local dealers about Aspen!
16. Just been on the phone with CT Hayton, Sandylands Road, Kendal, Cumbria. LA9 6EX01539 721518 They told me they only have one customers ask for Aspen. So please if you work or live in the area, let they know you would buy Aspen from them as they might stock it if they know there's demand. If you guys ask for Aspen I have a bigger chance of getting more dealers signed up. Thanks for your help Eddie
17.

Hi Lee,

Can I quote you on the fact you have found Aspen makes saws last twice as long?

18. Hi, what life would you expect from using normal pump fuel? Nice to have another person being posative about Aspen. Thanks
19. Big thanks to everyone at ATS Machinery in lower beeding. Fitted new diaphragms and pump piston kits to 3x Stihl MS200T. Pro user had switched to Aspen from pump fuel and his saws started to have poor running after a short while. As I have posted before this can happen in some cases. The ethanol and solvents damage the rubber parts. Now they have been changed they will last for years running on Aspen!
20. Hi, Please give me the names of the machinery dealers near to you and I will see what I can do to help.
21. Hi, From the limited information (unkown colour of residue) guys from Aspen Sweden think this is oil from the fuel. If a 2stroke engine is running too slow it may oil up, or if it is just blipped and not given a good run at full speed. Hope this helps
22. We have no dealers at this time. Sorry I will work on this in time.
23. Great news, let me know how you get on!
24. Where are you and where is the dealer? Southern Ireland is covered by Liffey Distributors Limited 309 Northwest Business Park Ballycoolin Dublin 15 Telephone 01 8242600
25. Tell who your dealer is and I will get some info to them.
