  1. I have quite a few of them around the place this year.
  2. I did say this earlier in the thread He will soon and will have to ring eBay and tell his side of things.
  3. Nope, all they have to do is lodge an unpaid item complaint. Had all this myself recently, ebay even removed the negative feedback I left. The reason you anticipated all the "move on with life" comments is because that is exactly what you should do. All the seller has to do is say it's broken, gone missing, stolen etc and you will get sweet fa no matter what you do.
  4. For a preservative have a look at boron.
  5. Fishing rod spares
  6. When any plant suddenly makes rapid growth they can outgrow the nutrient and water supply capabilities. If they then get stressed by any water shortage or higher temperatures it can result in exactly as you describe. Given the recent weather it is no surprise. I have some container grown trees I am struggling to keep going. I knew what to expect but am still losing the battle with a few of them in this hot weather. Hot weather isn't the problem, it is the sudden change and intense sunlight that is getting mine.
  7. Different glue for different tasks. Copydex is very good at sticking some things together but completely rubbish for Airfix modelling.
  8. The whole thing is little more than a scam imo.
  9. Don't know what machine you have but 8.8 M8 are usual shear bolts. Technically they should all break at the same point (and it makes no difference on what power the tractor is) but in practice they do vary quite a lot. A good explanation of the reason the tractor power makes no difference is the same as a matchstick snapping when a 5kg weight is hung off it. How strong the person holding the matchstick is has no influence on it.
  10. Anyone used those Nosilife shirts against horse flies? I'm a bit twitchy when it comes to things landing on me so rarely get bitten. One got me today on my finger before I noticed. A squirt of Lifesystems bite relief has sorted it.
  11. Must have had damp clothes in it then as willow burns quite quick when dry.
  12. Not as much as the chainsaw sent in to find them.
  13. Damned right they should. Talk about self fulfilling prophecies! BBC should be banned from telling the news the way they have been over the last few weeks.
  14. There are some real crappy people out there. Glad to hear you are not out of pocket anyway.
  15. I don't particularly like doing it but pulling it certainly reduces numbers on my place.
  16. I'm trying to lose weight and use an app called Myfitnesspal. It uses my phone to work out how far I have walked and adds some calories to my daily allowance accordingly. A day spent bouncing around on my old MF35 and it thinks I have run a few marathons and rewards me with the equivalent of an extra KFC family bucket.
  17. I did all mine through siteground not long back. I found it reasonably priced and a simple process even though I had never done it before. Layout of my site is by using Wordpress but you can choose which you want (though how you choose from a list of unknown things is a bit beyond me, like reading a menu all in a foreign language) Happy enough to recommend them to others.
  18. My goose egg I should say.
  19. I did my first aid refresher only 2-3 weeks back and they said apply a tourniquet if all other attempts to stop bleeding have failed. Write down the time it was applied and leave it. No mention of taking it off after 7 minutes. It was a detailed course but not industry specific.
  20. I think tourniquets are back on the courses. Summat to do with the military noticing how many more people survived when they were used. Last course I was on included them. I think they showed us an Israeli bandage with a built in tourniquet and blood clotting crystals.
  21. Describe it as a perfectly running saw but point out it is being sold as spares or repairs. Say you are happy for anybody to come and test the saw but also willing to post. That "spares or repairs" bit is what saves you.
  22. Scroll back up. It's still in exactly the same place so can't be moving can it.
  23. Not only was your car stupidly overloaded you even had your wife stand in the fast lane of the M1 just for a pic? Are you mad?
  24. It's on winter tyres, they have a good tread pattern but are not knobbly 4wd things. Proper weight carrying van tyres. I didn't intend to go along there but it wouldn't reverse up the hillside this was my only choice. No video but my missus was in the passenger seat as a witness and I don't lie. I was surprised it made it but it did.
