  1. I got a second hand laser printer off ebay for £30 with enough toner to last forever. I can't think of better economy, fantastic printer (best I have ever had) but B&W only. Samsung ML-1665 Actually chose that model after reading many reviews.
  2. Nope, per 100,000 of population there are 60 times more homicides in USA compared to UK. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate
  3. If america is somewhere that you need to have a gun in order to protect yourself from the bad guys it must be a friggin awful place to live. I have guns but not for protection and the best part of having to keep them locked away is that I am safe from them if a bad guy does come along. I am not expecting a bad guy any time soon either. Gun laws in the UK are just fine as they are in my opinion. Gun crime here rarely involves legally held guns and there is nothing that needs changing in light of events in Paris. The UK should be in control of its gun laws (and all other laws for that matter) not the EU. I am quite content that you cannot own a pistol in this country even though many don't agree. I am also happy that semi automatic and automatic weapons are not allowed (yes I do know semi auto rimfire and shotguns are allowed) and cannot comprehend why USA allows civilians to own military rifles.
  4. You come on here telling folk you have a Renault and a Lidl chainsaw?
  5. Ah, re-read it and you said pallet forks, not fork lift. Doh.
  6. I have used one in the distant past that was on the back of a MF135 fastened to the rear fork lift, so they do exist, do fit on a rear mounted fork lift and they do work. Google "box rotator" and there are pics
  7. I would think it was cheaper to buy good hardwood logs that are already split than to pay £400 for that lot.
  8. Has anybody ever been done for not having a CPC where this was the only "crime"? ie. done nothing else wrong at the time.
  9. I'm on my second Nilfisk. I wore the first one out and it was impressive enough to get another the same make
  10. If anyone can get through a CPC course without attending I am all in favour of it. The whole thing is the biggest waste of anybody's time I can think of. I just can not figure how anybody anywhere can think that there is any point to it whatsoever. How I wrote that lot without swearing is another of life's mysteries.
  11. The gross vehicle weights are pretty much the same for each model and it is going to be around the 3500kg mark. Having twin wheels does not mean they can carry more, it means they can carry less! Reason being the weight of the two extra wheels gets knocked off the payload capacity. I have a LWB Cabstar and I'm sure the plate says 3200kg gross so check first to know what you are getting. Also check the unladen weight, mine can only carry 1.4 tons whereas my old twin headlight version could carry 1.75 ton.
  12. Design or height of flue is probably the issue. I had the same years ago and it was cured by increasing the height of flue by a metre. I hope you folk that have this problem have got carbon monoxide alarms in your houses. There really could be a serious risk of it and I advise fitting at least one. I wouldn't want you to wake up dead one morning.
  13. What are the downsides and why not go for the boiler version in the first place? Mine is a La Nordica. Won't stay in overnight but does all heating, hot water and cooking in a draughty 6 bed farmhouse. I like it, would have another and other than not staying in overnight I can't think of any down sides. Can't say I am desperate for it to stay in overnight anyway.
  14. Two pictures of trees coming into leaf in spring mean pretty much nothing as far as warming is concerned. It could just as easily be showing how smog has been reduced due to much cleaner air these days.
  15. I don't really understand how your house can burn down due to a badly fitted liner particularly in an old house such as mine that worked fine for years with no liner at all. This "competent person" stuff is a real ripoff. I've heard of plenty of these folks with certificates making a right balls of the job.
  16. Bought my liner off eBay. Good make and suitable for wood and/or coal. Fitted it myself (sent my cousin on the roof as I am no good with heights) From memory the liner was about £120 ish plus £30 ish for the fittings to hold it up there.
  17. It might be but I still have never seen anything like it before.
  18. Positive and admit that was my first thought. As said, there were more than one. The normal looking toadstool is one of several that I pass each day and have watched them develop. I was surprised to see them looking like this today. Not all of them, both pics are from today.
  19. Seems to be an infected version of the normal looking one. Was not the only one.
  20. Depends which pickup. Mine you can take the back off and the lights stay on, if they don't then there is usually a plug somewhere to disconnect them. I would use this plug and maybe a bit of the old harness to rewire.
  21. 4.8 x 38 CSK TEK/WING DRILL SCREWS TIMBER TO STEEL BZP | eBay
  22. My cousin has the therma rosa with the boiler and he is pleased with his. I have the therma grande (think that is it's name) which I don't think they make any more. Great big thing that does all my cooking, DHW and central heating. Very good and was a fantastic price.
  23. Buy a file and have a go yourself. Just take it slow and use the existing angles on the blade as your guide. It's fairly easy and you've nothing to lose. Files are cheap enough. 24. Don't know if you ever did post it but just saying it didn't arrive here in case you were wondering where it got to. I was.
