  8. In readiness for any flooding from the Brooke that runs along the back of the house and main river that is less than 50m away. Anyone got any experience of dirty water pumps. Needs decent one that is reliable and can run off a gennie because if it rains the wrong kind of rain we get power loss. Already bought the mastic, anti backwash for the drains and air brick sealants, will be making pvc anti floods for the doors at the weekend. The pump is for under the floor. Screwfix and Tool station etc have several to choose from its mind numbing. So thought I'd ask here.
  9. I use the MAc for everyday and have also kept my windows laptop which is really getting on now to run my Map Info GIS programmes. I didn't want to slow the Mac down as one of my sons use it for his photo editing. I moved to Mac to stop having to pay for new hard drives for the Windows machine caused by Trojan viruses. Sounds like Parallels works faster on the Mac anyway.

  14. Hi, good choice you'll soon find hedges a breeze. Just one point when transporting your ladders, take the adjustable leg out and carry it in your vehicle. I transported mine in the trailer only to find the leg unhitched and the short adjustable part fell off. Otherwise absolutely brilliant piece of kit.
  15. Painting a fence for a customer and had to stop because of the rain. Already had to cancel job this morning as customer forgot I was due and went out shopping, the fence was my back up.
  16. Rob is an awesome guy, didn't mention him originally as not sure he hires his machine out to others, he came with his machine and helped me sort a job in no time.
