  16. +1 re quote can do it in office need your company name. then as norm date the job discription and cost of work then send it as a attachment with email. they can then confirm back in writing with a order number. you do the job then just send in invoice as above post work date and cost. do it all the time for councils. has to be in writing. also may ask you for a copy of your PL insurance. if its county they like 10mil but with school 5 mil should be ok. but they do like it all down in black and white. will not do it on the shake of a hand.

  23. none of the banks want to help small business look at natwst and there advert meet your bank manager small print if your turnover is one mil plus. do not have a manager any more just a centre which are so hard to get hold of have to go through there call centre. only way is on your own building up bit by bit and improving kit as you go along. not the best way as there is always some bit of kit you need but can not afford. so have to do what you can with the kit you have taken longer to do but still at rates that are competitive. as for so called backers who will help fund for a return on profits. not interested with tiny business. there should be help for the tiny ones. eg one man bands who work long hours on there own with help when they can afford it or need it. but tiny ones are not of interest to those who lend money at relistic rates.
  24. you say he said it was a bag of logs and i assume you asked how much does it hold and he said about 0.7 cube of wood. did not say it is 0.7 of wood as others have posted i would ask if anyone on arbtalk would like to sell you some logs. going on ebay then do not be diaspointed if you are worse off than you are now. they are all good guys and gals on this site and you will get a good load of good wood from any of the wood suppliers on this site. i have been bitten by saying something was this and was held to it cost me in the long run so never sell my logs by volume or weight just eg builders bag pick up or trailer. they then know thats what they get and as yet all happy with there loads.
  25. heard good reports on the grasshoppers will have a look at them see if i can have one on demo. to try out
