  2. I'm guessing you're planning on getting a 562 clutch drum to run 8t 3/8 then Jon? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. I don't think half of us would be heard again, I'm still surprised it ain't a damn sticky yet! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. It says a lot of saws can run big bars in the manuals, but having too large a bar seriously affects performance, these are little saws and don't have the power to pull a bigger bar as efficiently Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Same as tree surgery, an over saturated market, leading to collapse, causing it to be difficult to obtain firewood, but then it will stabilise after, with more sensible prices on offer Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    Celebrity! ?!

He hasn't learnt to blow his nose yet... But he can count, used to do it loads years ago! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. +1 the 390/385 is a nicely balanced saw, and you can get a heated handle version, or at least the parts for one, which is a handle, switch, flywheel and generator Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. The 441 is basically a 372xp with autotune, I don't understand why it has the dislike it does, the strato engine is tried and tested, as is the carb, after all that's been about for over 5 years! Unless it's just the build quality of the 'smaller' stihl saws nowadays? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Well he might have said husky 42, 51, 242, 246, 254, 345, 350, 351, 353 or 545, as they're all 40-50cc huskys, a fair few of which could meet the OP's requirements, but I think he was busy trying to promote orange makita's again Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. No, it's dark, grass don't grow at night, and besides, it's not just mowing! I had to empty some bins today! And rake some sand! I even dug a hole yesterday! Think I might take a week holiday after all that hard work Congrats to the OP, it's gonna be very different climbing in the 'sea breeze' Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. The 201 has had a lot of replacement part under warranty now, including new C&P, ignition, carb and a few other things, might be worth seeing your dealer if it's still under warranty Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. You don't like work though max?! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

Sorry spud, already sent him the IPL and workshop manual Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Helpful (ish) pointers: Don't ever touch the chain when a saw is running, even if the brake is on, it might not work and a spring could snap! Never stand directly behind a chipper! Don't check your phone unless you're on a break or that WILL end up in the chipper! Always check the oil and fuel in a saw, even if you're not using it, nothing worse than being handed an empty saw! If a branch fork is stuck in the chipper feed, reverse the rollers and cut the fork, don't do it near the rollers! Always double check the kit at the end of the day, if you forget something you'll get a bollocking! If a pedestrian comes near the drop zone, go over and stop them, they ALWAYS try to walk through! Visor is always DOWN unless you're on a break, or you will get hit in the face with chip, brash or saw dust, no matter how safe you think you are! Always listen to the boss and do what he says (unless it's running from the chipper ) Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Some lovely photos of rob d's arse, just needs the walnut song video to finish it off! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Don't get bigger than 14" unless you're modding the saw Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. It is a husky, it's just in black! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Push fit Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. Trim the pipe a few mm, it may be too long, or pull it through from the carb end Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. White pores = cep Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. I find mine develops more power in the cold, and more so with a tank of aspen, on another note, had a go with a 540 earlier, first time the saw had been used in a cut (demo saw at the dealers) and I must say, it runs rings around my 200t! I can only imagine what it's like with the spark screen pulled and proper fuel (dealer runs 25:1 for first tank)! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. 10 gallons?! That's 70+ fills! You got an insert in your bore? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. 560xp, I rarely get anything too big for a 15" bar Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. H screw (H is for high revs, L for low revs), and WOT is wide open throttle (full revs) Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. Yes, they will survive, pretty unkillable Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
