  1. Mate, it's a crataegus spp, you can see that by the bark, leaf and fruit! It'll be one of the pink flowering varieties, flowering in spring, go to WH Smiths and buy the Collins guide to trees, it's a big black book with a drawing of a tree on the front Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. +1, always hornbeam! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Carb kit fitted to the 090, now to retune the damn thing! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. If you're going to replace the piston ring, you may as well replace the piston Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Whilst on the subject of the 1106 range, cleaned the carb and replaced the lines today Just to give an indication of size, the carb and pump diaphragm Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Bloody heavy, about 12kg PHO! Spud, check the points timing, they can be moved too far before or after TDC, and point gap, can be a bugger Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Why not? You could even stick it on a 3120 for even more fun! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Would bring a whole new meaning to bombing a tree out Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    090 bar oil pump

So I've replaced the lines, you may also want to check the oil impulse, as this can stop the chain oiling, and more importantly, cause an engine seizure! The impulse line is the little yellow pipe, near the centre of the picture Also cleaned the carb, will order a new kit tomorrow. Carb is a hl112c Look at the size of the pumping diaphragm! 11. Actually, an 8t .325 will be faster in the cut compared to a 3/8 7t rim, simply because it's a smaller chain with more cutters, but stock for stock, the 3/8 chain wins, as for 14% more kerf, that's about 1.2mm, provided either bar has no splaying and the chains are brand new and correctly tensioned Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Easy, fuel tank off the seizer onto the split one, no testing for a leak then Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. OEM bores are chrome plated but still cannot be honed Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Mig is used for thinner metals, arc welded are better for thicker steel Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    090 bar oil pump

Oh forgot to say 1106 640 3100 is the pump diaphragm part number Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    090 bar oil pump

Haha send it to rich to repair, I would but I'm far, far, far too far away Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. True, but I use aspen anyway, it comes 50:1 in the bottle and my saws are tuned accordingly, even the 090 runs on it, and they were a lovely 16:1 when they first hit the shelves, so putting extra oil in the mix just seems a waste, and I swear some do it for the sheer hell of it, especially with some of the ratios out there! 18. I'm rough enough to snap a 3/8 chain, but I run all chain sizes and have no preference (well maybe .404) and I've never found much difference in kerf size of the two, but as a 560xp comes with a small rim clutch, the 8t .325 seems the better choice IMO, as it is lighter on the saw, whilst cutting as fast as the 3/8 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    090 bar oil pump

Oh yes, whilst it's off I'll also replace the oil pump impulse line, but the hard part is getting the carb off its mountings (and back on) Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. And should we not help try and reduce environmental damage? After all, were already destroying a tree with said tool Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    090 bar oil pump

Cheers simon! Gotta fit new carb kit and fuel line to mine now! PITA! Getting the carb off is bad enough Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    090 bar oil pump

Oh boy you're in for a treat! Empty the oil tank, remove the screw around it, pull the casing off Undo the 3 screws holding the pump on, that'll reveal the pump diaphragm, it'll be split! Now for the fun bit Remove the clip and washer Remove the ring, cylinder bearings and spring, then a washer, and then another ring, springs and bearings, pull diaphragm out, including the arm, fit a new one and remember to fit the plastic washer on! Reassembly should take about 1-3 hours as you have to fit springs, then bearings, compress them and slide the ring into place (they have a lug), washer, springs, bearings and the next ring, washer, clip, refit to saw and reinstall manual pump, refit casing and away you go it sounds simple, but, well you'll find out! 23. Running a .325 9t rim will mean the .325 will be faster in that instance, as you said with a narrower kerf, but stock .325 and 3/8 (7t) then the 3/8 is faster as it's a bigger rim, like a larger gear Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. The oil tank is also larger, not by much, but it is part of the crank speaking of 562's, is part number 505 15 69-01 available in your country? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. Charge what you feel, personally I'd give a set price, bomb the hell out of it, then do one once you're done to your local... Charging an hourly rate is never good IME, you usually finish faster than you anticipated, then you get bugger all in comparison Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
