  1. we wont buy chicken from tesco anymore as its pi55 poor, virtually inedible at times...it may be cheaper but if half of it ends up in the bin, its a false economy.
  2. i make the same mistake all the time, thinking im skint then i find £20 stashed in a back pocket...never lost £250 million though lol it will show up next week all chewed up after being through the washing machine 😃
  3. the 576 non-autotune saw has been dropped from the the husky range. might be one or two on the shelves tho.
  4. ...spooky or what...got an email from tomtom this morning, speed cameras alerts on special offer for a tenner 😃
  5. it gives you loads of warning (about 30 miles regardless of speed) just sometimes tells you there is one there and doesnt exist...mainly ones on motorway roadworks. its still bloody good tho lol if you are in a traffic jam and no sensible route around..it will tell you not only the delay eg 10mins, but what the delay is, such as accident/roadworks/congestion. if you know you its only going to be 10 mins delay, i find it takes away some of the stress driving on the roads today. its not neccesarily the delay, its the not knowing if its 10 mins or an hour. as you approach a queue on a motorway and still going 70, it flashes red on the display. its surprising how effective that is when you have been stuck behind the wheel for hours and concentration isnt quite as sharp as it should be! you need to have a good data plan on ur mobile phone tho as it downloads the traffic data through ur phone.
  6. i have paid for the 'safety camera' alerts. £20 for the year. also shows mobile cameras where mr plod are out and about. im not convinced about how good this is but £20 is bugger all in the scheme of things and if it does save me being the wrong side of 3 points...happy days!
  7. i bought tomtom go600 earlier this year saved me hours of sitting Fxxxing traffic. (i do about 40k/year) live traffic, its free for life and free map updates. up there as one of the best items i have ever bought in my life...marginally beaten by a nice bed 😃
  8. i think that relates to a mod on a 201, not the 540.
  9. using a TH saw with a backpack when climbing isnt practical, but if you are working from a mewp...no problem. superb when hedgecutting and grass trimming
  10. dont have one, but its a crankcase 😀 Good luck! Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk

  13. took part in "Race the Train" this weekend in west Wales, and beat it! its a 10 k cross country race and was a great atmosphere. unfortunately picked up a bloody big blister along the way! on the underside of my big toe and pretty painful..but worth it! 😃 Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  14. on TH saws and pole saws, i run chains a little looser than i would ordinarily due to the low horsepower base your starting with. chain should be loose enough to feel smooth on turning rotating by hand but not so loose there is chain creep on idle. the 1,2,3 link thing...depends on how good your grip is and how hard you pull! 😜😜😜 Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk

    Which pick up

i have a hi lux invincible on loan. nice spec, comfy but is pretty gutless compared to my dmax. only 5 speed rather than 6. you can feel and sense a difference in quality but its a work tool and the dmax is much better in this sense. (cheaper and better mpg too!!) Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk

  17. i had the same pita phone call yesterday. unfortunately i too was to slow in saying pardon. pissed off with the interuption for a piss take with the call centre. i will when they phone next time! Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  18. i did the race for men 5k in gloucester today, weather was truly awful courtesy of big bertha! but despite the field being very slimy with deep puddles...i managed a new pb of 18 mins 52, beating my previous by nearly a minute and managed to raise a few quid in the process along a few hundred others. 👍👍👍 happy days Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  19. snap on arent what they used to be sadly but still over priced imho. depends what u want them for, if your livelyhood depends on it, ie you are a mechanic/fitter then yes snap on or britool, if you just want a decent set for general purpose, i can vouch for halfords pro range. its good quality and a heck of a lot cheaper. 24. My dog has had a lot of work done on his back legs cost was £10,000! No im not joking! Insurance company was direct line, they were excellent. He is now 'robodawg' with the amount of titanium in him! If he hadnt of been insured im afraid he wouldn't be with us now. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. Builders maybe only 10% of the workforce but is inherently more dangerous place to work than an office block where (random made up number warning lol...) 50% of the workforce are where typically the riskiest thing to occur is a paper cut! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
