  1. Its not your fault, its the fault of the unprofessional company selling you a product without informing you it wont work properly.
  2. I dont doubt it. I bet not one of them warns about needing access to a Husqvarna account! Chances are a goo deal of people selling that equipment wont be Husqvarna dealers, they will buying from dealers and selling the products on.
  3. From what I know they dont, ie no dealer should sell the CST to the general public. I am fairly sure it says for use by authorised dealers only. I would go back to the dealer you bought it from and ask them to provide you with the relevant software. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with their policy it is just how it is ATM. Apart from installing new firmware to a new carb or updating old firmware its not that useful IMO.
  4. R&D, slammed. ATM the percentage of battery to petrol sales is tiny but it is increasing all the time. The interesting thing is that nearly every single owner of a battery machine cant praise the product more. I know there will always be the odd issue but in general it is the future and it works quite well. Cant comment on the new MS161T as I haven't trialled it but it looks good on paper and if it does meet the improvements over the MS160T then it will be very impressive indeed. I wonder how far off the pro 50cc equivalent saw is?
  5. When you say you have had the spark plug out does that mean you have changed it? If not change that first, could be the coil if it isnt a fuel problem. The coil can get hot and break down, once cooled it works for a bit.
  6. That is a bit of a blow then. Ive just had a look and it look likes the pump is also fitted to the 260,280,351,370 and 420 so there may be a chance you can source a second hand one.
  7. Just so you have an idea about price they are just over £10 for a new recoil spring. Part number is 503 85 99-01 (part number 5 in attached pdf) if you want to order it from your local dealer. I have attached a pdf just in case you need any other parts. You can sometimes rework the spring to make an end but you need to get it fairly correct if you want it to locate into spindle properly without slipping. Just so your aware the price of a complete starter casing with all the bits is the best part of £60 (part number 11)so its worth finding out what the issue is with your one. 8. They are expensive, £50 inc the dreaded. Are you sure its completely knackered? Oil pumps in general usually dont break, its the parts around them that fail, worm drives in particular. (experienced based on other brands as never had to replace pump parts on an echo except worm drive on cs2511) Unfortunately they only list the pump as a complete unit, they dont sell individual components within the pump.
  9. Production doesn't seem to be able to keep up with demand. They nearly always have backorders. I think we might be getting sime in next week, after that I think they said August/September.
  10. ? Ive seen it more than once. Even had a customer ask if he can buy them as he lost them while changing a chain!
  11. Strange, maybe a bad batch of clutch drums as I have never seen that issue I don't know the exact cause. The drive train is the same as the 562xp, 550xp, 545 and 555. Unless there is an issue with the bar mounting causing the bar to run at an angle pushing the chain/rim into the clutch drum. I hope no one has left the white transport washers in place!
  12. Dont know anything about it. As far as I know nothing has been changed lately in regards to drive, bar and chain. Although there is a new x force bar on the way I dont think this is the issue you lads are having. Not read or digested all the thread but what it the issue people are having? Saws cutting to one side are only caused by (99.99% of the time) by a bad chain.
  13. This should do. https://www.skylandequipment.com/husqvarna-rim-sprocket-325-7-pin-tooth-501-45-74-02.html BTW ignore Steves poor effort, that is a blag part
  14. A year since last posting and nearly 18 months since the start of the thread! Thankfully our new site should be with us within the next couple of weeks, hopefully.
  15. HI Sorry, we havent been very active on Arbtalk of late. Although I presume you have already sourced a 390 it will be a week or so before we reorder any further echo machines.
  16. Sorry missed this post. I Will try and sort it out this week.
  17. Thanks for posting the pictures but unfortunately there isnt enough info there. What I was looking for was to make sure the chain matched the bar and to see that the chain was sharp (no offence and its hard not to sound condescending but the chain is usually the issue 99% of the time) A lot of the time people look at the top of the chain but not the sides, if the chrome is damaged on the sides the saw will cut like a banana, if the bar is damaged usually the saw just jams up in the cut. I would put the husky bar back on and fit a new husky or oregon chain, I bet that would sort out the issues. It isnt worth skrimiping on the condition or quality of the chain. It is IMO the most important part of the machine. It is the contact between the machine and the timber, it doesnt matter how powerful the saw is if the chain isnt any good you will get poor results every time.
  18. Any chance you can take some pictures of both sides of the chain and the top, also the bar including any part numbers or info on the bar?
  19. Still waiting for these to come in. I was talking to the husky rep about the eta and he was surprised that some dealers already had them on the shelves as he was under the impression Husqvarna UK haven't had any in yet!
  20. Are you letting it idle/tick over a lot? The 236 has a fixed oil pump so it's constantly pumping oil if the engine is running. I will be honest and say that in the hundreds we have sold I have never had an oil feed issue. Unless it is leaking out I have never had any machine use more oil than fuel so it is indeed very strange. Do you have any links to others who have had the same problem? Does the saw cut well and have plenty of power? Does there seem to be excess oil all over the machine?
  21. Thanks for the information It looks like it well be a good seller. The 562xp is already starting to outsell the the 560xp.
  22. Im surprised if that is the case as I am fairly sure that there are non in the UK yet! Good news if they are though as have had a lot of interest and are still waiting on our order of them. Have you seen them on the shelf yet?
  23. No problem. Being good at sharpening is probably the most important thing through, I'm not being patronising so apologises if it comes across that way. The amount of badly sharpened chains I see on pro saws used by professionals is quite staggering.
  24. That will be why, always fit a full set of springs. If it is genuine stihl they will last year's as long as the other clutch parts arent worn.
  25. Did the OP get it sorted? I think the 572XP has different software although from what I have read.
