    It all depends on how much you want to spend, Devon4x4 sell ARB winch bumpers. At £1200 plus I'd get one fabbed up by a local engineering firm to your spec.

  10. He was quite good really as he hadn't done tree work either, he was from the local engineering firm who install bridges and the like. It was all down to good communication between me and him

  12. Most the ash I've seen round here have been slow starting, also seen a few old specimens with no foliage at all which as in full leaf last year

    Great book that, so many meals you wouldn't normally think of having. I've got access to a gas spit with motor and it takes at least 6 hours depending on size

    Start small and ask the weight. What size is it? Last one I did had a max 6t lift, but lifted 2t at the reach needed Only a small thing, but principles the same. Have fun and be safe

  23. Don't go to a 16" don't think it would run very well. Put the full chisel chain on a 14" and it runs great Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. As said use a stick hand to shoulder length and walk back will give approximate height, there is electric gizmos to do it aswell
