I get my top anchor then bring the rope down and use a sling with a steel crab to position where need and just move up the tree. Hope that makes sense

  19. I started at 17 and now 32. I did a year conservation course before that which helped with ground work etc. As for the climbing I think 18 is a good age, your young and enthusiastic (hopefully) If you start now you could be classed as experienced climber at 22/23
  20. I'm on my 4'th maybe 5'th gecko never had a problem with it. Price tag helps a lot though. I've noticed splices can vary though, only just managed to get my DMM oval through the last one but was easier than a pear shaped as there slightly thicker
  21. That's what I'm doing, still not got perfect length for mainline, but working on it. Just need to learn to splice then
  22. Not sure, but he got away with it after appeal as was working on the m'way at the time
  23. I know a lad who got done for this and got fined and all that, even though he was working further down the m'way. At the same time there was a brand new mog with trade plates on getting the same treatment , can't remember the outcome though
  24. Why hide stuff from the mrs? It's for work!! They don't hide it when they buy clothes shoes or a new handbag
