  1. As ever we’re drifting off the topic.... Sorry Les not sure I agree with your point. Millions may well be struggling to make ends meet every week but I doubt the cost of food is the primary factor. Many have no ability to prioritise where they spend their money, and IMHO all the time the state or charities fill in the gap, or kids ain’t educated in budgeting they never will.
  2. Not sure that’s factually correct and certainly not the reason high protein feeds are used in dairy and beef production. As has been said many times on this forum, it’s time the consumer paid a fair price for the product, and that farmers were encouraged to follow more environmentally friendly processes. The former would clearly be the first step towards that. IMHO hiking the duty on cherry ain’t gonna be a solution. Smoke and mirrors!
  3. I guess farmers are gonna have to be a bit more selective about what they plant and how much fuel will be needed to bring that crop to harvest. UK maize is an environmentally damaging crop, I believe most of it going to animal feed/silage. It would be nice to see all cattle being raised on grass again!
  4. If u can afford new go new! You never know how a used saw has been treated. Echo 5yr warranty for domestic use[emoji106] A pair of Oregon trousers will cost u £75 and you’ll get a decent pair of boots for £100.
  5. Can you stretch the budget to £500ish? You’ll get something like an Echo CS-501sx that should handle an 18” bar. IMHO but the best u can afford.... And allow some funds for a pair of boots and trousers!
  6. These Grillo machines will face most stuff!
  7. Yep that’s certainly my experience, especially since moving to Cornwallandia! Cornwall Council planning and enforcement are utterly dis functional. But its allegedly not their fault....it’s due to Covid[emoji106][emoji849] Sadly all the scrotes and rule breakers know it too!
  8. Ain’t that the truth Paul! I’ve been trying to get contractors in to quote for work, all who are currently flat out busy, most don’t even to respond to a call or text. It won’t be forgotten when these plentiful times finish....as they always do[emoji106] Surely a short “sorry mate I’m flat out” text ain’t too much to ask for?
  9. Yep it appears Marmite became is short supply (well in Cornishland anyway) since the demise of Piers....spooky!😀
  10. PIERS MORGAN: The REAL truth. Writing for the first time about his dramatic exit from GMB | Daily Mail Online WWW.GOOGLE.COM MONDAY, MARCH 8: Got to the Good Morning Britain studios at 4am to watch Oprah Winfrey's much-hyped interview with Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, writes PIERS MORGAN
  11. I think you can get with or without, I went for the 36v DUC355Z which doesn’t have it. Brought on recommend off AT and have to say it’s an absolute cracker! £215 inc on Amazon. For fencing and general stop-start work it’s great. I run it on Waitley batteries. 2-4 £78[emoji106]
  12. What model pressure washer is this Spud? You still happy with it? Thx Craig
  13. Thx Matt, I know Pringle Knight, pretty reasonable on a swinger too!
  14. Thanks Matt, do you only use split chestnut? Shame, Holsworthy probably a bit far for you!
  15. Is there no end to your ingenuity! Ill pass on your top-tip to my contractor[emoji106][emoji3]
  16. I understand its site dependant but what's the going rate/bracket per metre for stock fencing (sheep netting + 2 x barb,) supply and install. Jobs about 2000m + . West Devon area. Pretty straight forward job, easy access. Many thanks C
  17. “Saucer of milk.....table 3” 🤣
  18. Ive found it to be pretty accurate , i've tested it against HRMs and it shows same rate. Much better than Polar watch i had before. I think the tech has moved on significantly and Garmin get a good review generally.
  19. Fitted a set of Maxxis AT-771 on SWB Shogun 4Work replacing BFG-ATs, nowhere near as aggressive and i doubt they will be as good off road but handle and drive well and have coped with everything so far. BFGs have just got stupid price, I was quoted £200+vat ea. The Maxxis were half the money, plus free puncture repair for life of tyres.
  20. You say that Mick, i had a close call a few years back... vacuumed out the burner with an old Henry (done many times). Put it back under the stairs cupboard. Bit later could smell burning, checked the vacuum and warm on outside. Took it outside and opened it up and it burst into flames! Fire was well cold but obviously a small ember had been revitalised by the air blowing through the cleaner and ignited the filter bag. Wooden stairs, I hate to think!!
  21. Anyone in a position to try this? Anyone got sub 20% wood?😂
