  1. But the reality is that we can’t run without natural gas and have to import from other countries. Bulk LPG tankers…hardly an environmental solution. It’s all smoke and mirrors and about us meeting our National environmental commitments whilst other exporters couldn’t give a stuff. Does it matter where the O&G comes from, it’s still releasing carbon when burnt? Thinking that we shouldn’t draw our own gas resources whilst importing from elsewhere is like having a”No pissing” area in a swimming pool.
  2. Not sure I agree that cameras and alarms are a waste of time, however unless you can respond quicker than the adversary can defeat ur security measures then they are simply a deterrent and reactive measure. The cameras need to be sited correctly and of high enough resolution to provide images that can be used in prosecution. Smart water is a great product and a lot of fences won’t touch anything that is marked up.
  3. I do same and have never had an issue. Aspen in saws etc and stabilised super in ride on, splitter etc[emoji106]
  4. Pete, my mrs visited me out there after about 4 months. We were sat in cafe and she said " why didn't you tell be about the women...?" I laughed and replied "I dont know what you mean darling"😂 Take ur mirrored sunglasses!!
  5. We used to sit having coffee in the old town dressed up in duvet jackets etc, watching the Latvian ladies in their mini skirts, above the knee boots and fur coats walking about like it was a balmy spring day.... it was -10'C and blowing a hoolie. Oh those Baltic ladies..... many a Bootie lost his way out there😀
  6. I lived there for 12 months. I’d recommend you visit the following: 1. Zeppelin hangers market 2. Hire a car and drive to the bobsleigh track at Sigulda. You can ride it! 3. The old city is stunning, fantastic cafe culture and lots to look at!! 4. The KGB museum will explain the history of Baltic States and the persecution by both Nazis and Soviets. If u hire the car it’s worth taking a day to drive up to Estonia. Visit Tallin and even a ferry trip to Helsinki?
  7. Fully agree Andy, I purchased a Wallenstein 20 tonne splitter a few years back, money well spent and my back thanks me every year! The only thing id change (and I think the venom splitters are same) is the way they work ie the wedge moving. I notice Wallestein have now changed to a fixed wedge so the log is forced onto the wedge. Much quicker as the split logs get cleared by the subsequent log. Take a look at "At Home With The Morgans" set up as an option to a full on processor.
  8. These Kai Shun Japanese knives are stunning, Damascus steel: KAI Europe WWW.KAI-EUROPE.COM Die KAI-Gruppe mit Hauptsitz in Tokyo entwickelt in über 100-jähriger Tradition Schneidwaren und verwandte... Not cheap but absolute quality!
  9. I also wonder if the likes of Edward and his Mrs and Zara and Phil have also made comment. There’s plenty of Royals who give decent VFM and can probably read the publics opinion of him.
  10. Yeah you could be right Andy, also wonder if the more grounded family members have advised…
  11. I wonder if he’s admitted something else to HM that has triggered this….
  12. Is he actually a sex pest or paedophile though Stubby? He’s definitely an unsavoury character but that ain’t against the law. Plenty blokes allowed the little head to lead the big head…. IMHO she’s a former prostitute who’s taking advantage of the situation. If he really is innocent, he should counter sue her for defamation of character and see what happens then.
  13. Ah ok fully understood! I’m in a similar position concerning full pension, I had pretty much fulfilled the criteria so when working in UAE didn’t pay my stamp. Then they go and change the amount of years required! Have you looked at making lump sum payments?
  14. Can you put it off until you retire? Looks like it’s not quite the right time now mate….
  15. Can you pop the boss out and take a look, might be a simple and speedy fix....
  16. It almost looks like that boss has been installed upside down?
  17. Both the Clearview Vision and Woodwarm Fireview don’t meet any eco standard but are great stoves. Says it it all really! More green smoke and mirrors bollocks!![emoji849]
  18. IMHO Clearview are as good as it gets it terms of airwash and clean burn. Have had Vision 500 and Pioneer 400 over the years. I managed to pickup one of the last 9kw Woodwarm Fireviews available just before Christmas, after they stopped production (at a really good price). Option B would definitely have been a Clearview Vision 500.
  19. Just for you David…. Miss May 2022
  20. But nothing tastes like home laid chicken eggs[emoji106][emoji16]
  21. Personal opinion but those Eglu things look bloody horrible, like cheap plastic kids garden toys..and have you seen the price of them £6-700? As Alec said you can pick up a decent wooden coop for a lot less money than you can buy the timber. Plenty of diatomaceous earth dusted about will keep the red mites at bay.
  22. Couple of strands of electric fence like on a pheasant pen will keep Charlie and Brock away. Treadle feeder will help with rodent issues, as will an air rifle or tunnel fen trap[emoji16]
  23. This one has much more interesting birds…… [emoji2]
