  1. Im looking for a decent firewood supplier for a mate in Newbury, he's after an initial couple cube asap, any recommendations welcome. TIA
  2. More likely a Bootneck to be honest David, although I believe the practice of dressing up and going ashore has been banned…. By the RN! Maybe Kev can confirm?
  3. Cheers Stubby, yep I get what ur saying, sounds like just the tool around the yard[emoji106]
  4. Thx Johnsond, so to put it into some sort of perspective, much louder than a moderated .22 rimmy?
  5. I’m in same boat, ordered in Apr and told Nov at latest. Sold my truck in Sep and now told I won’t get the new one until Mar. On the upside I got great money for the old one!
  6. Scraggs you ain’t seen some of the birds in Plymouth!!🤣
  7. Yep the filthy tw@ is a geezer! The curious and disgusting case of Claire Goodier WWW.SPIKED-ONLINE.COM Why are the media referring to this dog-abusing pervert as a woman?
  8. Any chance you could find a 10mm washer with 20mm outer diameter and radge a fix together. You’ll never get it to centralise otherwise and you’ll end up shaking the whole thing to pieces.
  9. Sorry Helen I’m not in uk until mid Jan. Looking at ur photos and the parts diagram there are some significant differences such as ur bolt being fully threaded unlike to one in parts diagram. I would definitely take the machine back and get them to rectify the issue. Something clearly ain’t right there!
  10. Yeah clearly not right, mine will smash through pretty much anything put in front of it inc 50mm saplings..its a beast! I know what u meant about getting to grips with running it, we tend to have 1 hand on the handlebars (obviously on the deadman's handle left side) and the other on the forward/reverse shuttle. Take it back and demand its put right, or if its down to negligence....soak it up I guess.
  11. I have the CL75 which is the bigger version. I can assure you they are serious tools, robust and well up to cutting/mulching thick vegetation. Iirc the shaft in mine is stepped down so the blade fits directly onto it, the bolt and washer assembly just basically clamp it in place?
  12. As already asked, can u send some pics of the shaft without the blade fitted?
  13. Appreciate if u can give a review on the machine once you’ve given it some work. [emoji106]
  14. Have you seen his Protégé Mark? Johnny Cowling……
  15. I believe he’s been unwell for a while, although I bumped into him in local pub in Sep and he was on good form. RIP Geoff One of life’s proper entertainers[emoji106]
  16. You missed dangerous also Andy[emoji106]
  17. Picked up a bottle of Aberfeldy 12 in DXB. A nice wee dram, very smooth. Merry Christmas to self[emoji1]
  18. 27/50 so a fair few. Agree, the whole protracted death row thing is inhumane, but thats the issue…. Ensuring a fair trial and that only the guilty are executed. IMHO where it’s absolutely clear…. “the law is that thou shalt return to the place whence thou camest and from thence to a place of execution where thou shalt hang by the neck till the body be dead. And the Lord have mercy upon thy soul”
  19. Sadly I believe that’s not the case in USA, people continue to commit crimes punishable by death. But I still think these sadistic evil cnuts should be hung. As I’ve said in previous posts it’s a sad state of affairs where we have to hope the very people who can’t live by the law will be those that meter out the appropriate punishment.
  20. As Mac says, if in any doubt get it inspected. I’d not even light it until I’d had a qualified and registered trade look at it. CO kills! And poorly installed flues can lead to house fires. It’s not worth the risk of messing about with. Final point, if it’s not been inspected and it caused a house fire your insurance may not pay out.
