  1. Selective reporting there Mark! You fail to mention the huge cost its had to soak up for getting out of Russian Oil Company ROSNEFT, or its plan to pay in excess of £1 Billion in UK tax this year. BP hasn’t personally driven up the costs of O&G, they just benefit from the current inflated market price. Conversely they all took massive hits when the oil price crashed. I know it irritates the socialists but thats supply and demand I guess…
  2. But we don’t have proportional representation so I guess it does matter Eggs. Corruption is corruption, it’s endemic in many immigrant home countries, particularly South Asia.
  3. Does it for me[emoji13]
  4. Voting fraud, abuse of NHS and the only practical way of actually finding out who is in the country seem like valid reasons for some sort of NID system. Perhaps don’t make it mandatory to carry at all times, BUT required for the above? However given that the Gov can’t even crack the admin to issue veterans ID cards…..
  5. I’ve never understood why so many are against the requirement for a national ID card. The requirement to be able to prove one’s identity should not be an issue for anyone who’s on the right side of the law?
  6. #Mendiplogs is this you Jon under a new username? [emoji848][emoji23][emoji23]
  7. If it doesn’t feel right it probably ain’t! That’s a lot of dosh to take a risk with.
  8. Still good value Stubby, I’ve ordered one and a couple of Waitley 5ah batteries.. will see how we get on👍
  9. Fastfix have an offer on the Dolmar equivalent of Makita DUR368AZ cordless brushcutter at £148 inc. Sounds like good value and gets good reviews, anyone got one? Think I’ll make a punt.. Dolmar AT3725AZ Twin 18v Brushless Line Trimmer (Body Only) WWW.FASTFIX.CO.UK The Dolmar AT3725AZ brushcutter features an efficient 36v brushless motor powered by twin 18v LXT batteries and designed for those looking for a quiet yet high powered alternative to a petrol unit.
  10. Thx Dan, would you cut back the roots that are now above ground?
  11. We lost this tree to Storm Eunice, was gonna remove but it’s now covered in blossom. Just wondering if it can survive like this or it’s gonna eventually die. It’s a lovely tree that fruits well. Any advice appreciated…

  13. Let’s hope the deterrence factor kicks in and these economic migrants either stay home or in France!
  14. Not very often we agree Mark😀 I’m the same mate, watch little tv in general and then only when I’m working.. usually YouTube stuff then.
  15. I’m not sure C4/ BBC Introducing make that much difference. Good/decent media be it film or music will get picked up… and ideally much of the dross wouldn’t. iMHO the main channels should concentrate on mainstream and leave the fringe stuff to subscription or indie. You not agree Mark, there is some serious shite on C4?
  16. Nope sorry Mark, we’re both factually incorrect… it neither makes or loses money… supposedly all profits go back into program making. But also read… “unlike other broadcasters, it doesn't make its own shows - they are all made by independent production companies.” So I would guess the decent content would get picked up by other media companies if they didn’t want to continue selling to a privatised C4.
  17. Personally I couldn’t give a stuff… I would guess 80% of C4 content is utter garbage, bowing to the Libtard, fringe, oddballs of society… IMHO that sort of content should be on a subscription basis, and not paid for/supported out of the public purse. “no music, no films, no painting, no photography, no architecture, no design... “ You forgot: No “Naked Attraction”, No “The Pride Collection” in ur list of cultural content 🥱
  18. Plenty of happy Echo users out there Dan[emoji106]
  19. Here you go Eggs… Sadiq Khan and Priti Patel at war over resignation of Cressida Dick APPLE.NEWS Pair clash after Met Police commissioner Dame Cressida Dick is forced out of top job
  20. Do I think that arrogant Khant would pull that stunt without consulting Patel, Johnson et al…….Absolutely he would, the man is totally deluded!
  21. J, 50% of a 266% increase is still significantly more than we have seen so far in UK. Why should the government (taxpayers) fund peoples energy usage? People seem to forget that the country is broke! This whole push towards “net zero” is utterly unworkable at this time, given the limited renewables and nuclear availability. If you want green…you gotta pay for it! As I’ve said before IMHO this whole renewables issue is smoke and mirrors, Boris will do anything to try and stay in power and its backfired…putting us in a strategically weak position, and at the mercy of global energy prices. So how do we fix this in the short-mid term? The UK is literally floating on natural gas, on and offshore, yet we import the stuff from USA……green energy my arse! I guess we either tap it, or accept that these inflated energy prices are here to stay!
  22. With Swedish electricity prices up 266%, a 50% reduction appears far from a return to an affordable solution, sounds idyllic! Sweden to help households as electricity prices soar over 266% WWW.EURONEWS.COM Some 1.8 million households are affected, the government said.
  23. Canada has pretty liberal views too, particularly concerning immigration. Pretty much every Lebanese Muslim I’ve met seems to have Canadian residency. Not sure I could tolerate living in a state run by that clown Trudeau!
