  1. There is a few schemes/certificates for 360,s depending who your working for or boxes need ticking.I Don't know any one in your area who does training. I know quite a few people who have gone for npos? card's as a cheaper and easier option to cpcs.
  2. We all lose acquired rights in September this year, you don't lose your hgv entitlement after that date, as far as I know if you wanted to drive professionally after that date you would just have to do the 35 hours dcpc course`s. Again as far as I know, the 4 parts is the initial dcpc for people just acquiring a hgv licence.
  3. Yes that's right.
  4. Have you tried Bodnant estate/gardens, I know the other year they where selling cord.
  5. Horrible news, sincere condolences to you and your family.
  6. Not the best photo sorry, had loads of other peoples stuff but didn't have any good ones of mine, and I`m not going out side to take one now, its chucking it down.
  7. A pic of my 135 in our local show the other year.
  8. I would think the base tractor`s cab would be rated to ROPS on its own. Can`t help with FOPS spec though, and would guess a one off build would be hard to get approved if needed, I would go by gut feeling that you would feel happy sitting in the cab and something fall against / on it.
  9. I`m pleased with mine, I don`t do a big mileage and what I do is bad for mpg in any vehicle, all hills and bad roads, I`m getting about 25mpg, 30+ on the rare occasion I go on a good run. It had a little flat spot when running light and you put your foot down when it was new, but it seems to have gone once run in. Pulls well, smooth and quite inside the cab, but with the window down makes a nice sound You can get only get the 3.2 in double cabs, in both limited spec (mine), and the wildtrak. For me the limited had plenty of spec/toys.
  10. I had the same as Felix, contacted brix (who I bought them off) emailed some photos and the serial numbers, they contacted haix, haix OK the warranty claim and I got sent a new pair. Great customer service, but it doesn't excuse the poor quality soles. Just to note, the new pair have got a different design of sole on them, so hopefully they've addressed the problem.
  11. You could try TCF Engineering, not far up the road just out side Corwen, they have two sizes. http://tcfengineering.co.uk I do know of an other one but I would be a bit heavy duty for a L200, it would be better with a CAT D4 in front of it:laugh1: Have you got enough there to get a tractor and forwarding trailer in for a day?
  12. The new shape ranger looks a lot bigger, but its not much in the flesh, I compared mine to a `03 model, the biggest difference was in ground clearance and overall height, yes it is slightly longer in overall length and wheelbase, and a bit on width. Compared the same with a `59 narava and hardly any difference, except for the height.
  13. The dash problem appeared to be little know as fords warranty specialist come to have a look at it. Problems I've heard people talk about like the high gearing, and like, seem to have been addressed.
  14. I`ve got a 13 plate ranger, with the 5 cylinder 3.2 engine, been pleased with it. I did have a problem with it during last winter, when the outside temp was low the dash would flash on and off, fixed under warranty, dealer gave a courtesy vehicle while sorting it. A good ride and drives nice even on the rough roads around here, an easy drive on motorways as well. Positively surprised with the off road performance on the road bias tyres.
  15. The way I read it is, no as the vehicle can be driven on a category b licence, the driver cpc is needed for categories c1, c1+e, c, and c+e.
  16. If you decide to carry on with your current mounting set up, and plan on using a engine power pack, try and mount the power pack at the very rear of the trailer, underneath? to try and counter balance some of the weight of the crane on the nose weight.
  17. That yanmar looks to me to have 4 quick couplings 2 for breaker lines, may be with a valve to make them two way, and 2 going to bucket crowd ram, if this is the case it would be easy to put grab/rotator on it.
  18. You would need minimum of a C1 licence for over 3.5t. Your best bet on the diabetic front is speak to your doctor, they will need to complete a medical form for you to apply for a licence. If your diet controlled I cant see a problem, if insulin dependent I think dvla have recently/or planning to alter their rules,(in your favour). I know people with diet controlled that have a lgv licence, I`m sure some one on here will put you right on insulin controlled.
  19. Most of the makes have hydraulic trailer brakes fitted, if they are agricultural spec. Done a lot of hours in a jcb 526 farm special, a strong, nippy machine and did most things you asked of it well, loaded trailer towing wasn't one of them, sluggish on the road if you came up any sort of hill, the engine wouldn't die just the speed would drop off, changing down didn't really help other than keeping transmission oil temperature a bit better. Loaded trailers never feel to be a problem though, as in tail wagging the dog. Operated other makes and all much the same towing. If your not looking to tow all the time, and not over long distances up and down mountains, and keep on top of maintenance, especially transmission, should be OK.
  20. I think the cable for tirfors has a different construction to normal winch cable, having a more solid core.
  21. Chewing gum as temporary get you home fix on a radiator.
  22. Been thinking the same myself just recently, interested to seen what reply's you get.
  23. Craig.

    LEZ london

It`s £200 if you want to go in with a non LEZ truck, think yourself lucky at £100:001_tt2: Joking aside, paying your money wont make your vehicle more better on emissions, so as you say making money from the motorist again, or have your hand forced to change your vehicle, once most people have buckled in and changed vehicles to stop paying, they'll move the emission level again, and so it all starts again, (granted they tell you the dates in advance). How long before other cities/towns start this, for a quick cash boost, off the back of the environment?
  24. Thanks for that, looks like hankooks have moved up on the shortlist, and the kumho have gone off the list, don't fancy soiled underwear!
  25. When you say no comparison to the hankooks off road, where the hankooks better or worse than the kumhos? Been looking at the hankooks for my pickup myself, I run them on my lorry with no problem, and see them fitted on new bmw`s as well (car tyres).
