  1. As Jon said, I`ve seen a forcast for colder weather in about a couple of weeks time. That was on accuweather on phone. Still NO sign of proper winter weather though.
  2. I know a few people who have had them, and they all had problems with the injectors failing, some stoped working and got a misfire, other`s carryed on running out but leaked excess fuel into the sump, which thined the oil then then engine seized.
  3. I`ve got a helko long handle one quite light for a wooden handle, I sharpened it a touch when I first got it to make it eaiser in smaller lighter bits. Not broke it yet! OK for the money. A good one I`ve used was a oregon one, medium length I would say, nice and light, hollow alloy? I think.
  4. Is the centre bolt on the spring ok? The head on the bolt should locate in a socket in the axle to set the spring and axle in the right place, then the U bolts clamp it.
  5. Pm sent.
  6. Steve, first of all well done for all your hard work with this, and all your sponsors:thumbup: When I click on my user name either in the top right, or in the list at the bottom of the page it goes to some one else`s profile, it goes to craig where as mine is Craig. .Hope it does not effect me getting my winning ticket:lol: Cheers, Craig(with the full stop)
  7. Off the net, 01490413517
  8. You can get flame retardant hi vis vests (long sleeve type).
  9. Going colder from tomorrow Jon, should help your log sales, so you can buy the first 20 pints on your big night out:lol:
  10. We had a wet night in north wales, the rain eased off about 12 o`clock lunch time, our job got canceled and we got diverted to clearing leaves from grids to help stop further flooding, ang taking sand bags out.
  11. The husky helmets new mesh visor is a lot better than the old one`s, a lot finer mesh I found when I first swaped to it I was trying to drop visor down when it was already down, it was that much better looking through. It is also more flexable, so keeps its shape better.
  12. If I remember right, the is no operators licence needed for them.
  13. Craig.

    Tyres

A local firm I know uses them or local franchise of them, and he`s happy with them the guy comes to his yard late afternoon/early evening when his vans are back in.
  14. Good post Treewolf, thats the way I see it as well. Point 5, No one wants to stick their neck on the line and say so and so is compentent to do the task, so use tickets to prove and cover their back. People take it as law you need licence or ticket xyz to do a job. The only ticket I`m aware of you personally legally needing is a driving licence. As said in other posts experience would win hands down, but with the way of things now,no win no fee, claims against you etc, you need the bit of paper. We Should use it to our advantage when selling our service, xx years experience and qualified. Qualification to buy top handle, turn up at customers to do job they said looking at your topper, "they look handy i tryed to buy one but the dealer said you need to be qualified to buy that", must look good on you.
  15. Edit, a link has been made by itself, like magic:thumbup1:
  16. I use cargo stop for my load restraint stuff. CargoStop - Home can`t see how to put a link in sorry just got boxes with red crosses in.
  17. You should make manual record of mondays work as other work, It wont effect weekly rest, you`ll get over 45hrs on the saturday/sunday off. As for telling company your driving for, they want to know or should do for working out your 48hr week average for wtd.
  18. What about using a old commercial drawbar trailer, they can be picked up for similar money to a ifor williams, then you could use the air brakes. Use the air suspension to drop the trailer and with ramps to get a decent loading angle, may be put sockets in deck for bolsters, so more use?
  19. I`ve heard with other agricultural kit like potato harvesters with hydraulic drive, that the speed is limited to 30kph to stop damage to hub motors, some thing to think of if you do a lot of road work, cage drive wont have that problem once it`s dis-engaged.
  20. Just reading cheshire farmart, Caldo oils advertising 32 or 46 hydraulic oil 229.60+vat for 205 litre. Their in st helen`s I think, dont know wether they send out or not. 01744813535
  21. Just reading the 201t thread, when you go to 2nd page it comes up with a white backgroung, different heading, and home, forum faq, and so on in a list going down. Not seen it like that before, and tryed a couple of times to see if it`s still the same.
  22. That holder was on a couple of weeks back at £8500. It does not look to bad, I quite like it:thumbup: No more toys for me at minute though:thumbdown:
  23. It should fit OK, 4 bolts under bell housing, then a brace going to under front axle pivot, again 4 bolts, or maybe a brace going to back axle wing mounting points, this type is a pain as you have to climb over the tubes to get on and off. You will need to change the small cover under front of seat and to the right for one with a tapping in it to take hydraulic feed from, and a valve to close off loader if its working off rear linkage lever.
  24. You would need a c1 licence, or c1+e for loaded and trailer, you might have c1 with grand father rights depending when you passed you driving test, c1+e grandfather licence limited to 8250kgs. If you going to pay out for c1+e licence your just as well doing c+e. You would need an operators licence as gvw is over 3500kgs.
  25. From memory your local council will be informed of you application as a statutory objector, but again I think not 100% though that you dont need planning if 2 or less vehicles on licence, but they can still object on any other gounds they feel like.
