  5. Was thinking stiga also as its the other yellow coloured brand apart from cub cadet. The saw ranges from theese two brands actually look semi decent? I think the heard somewhere that new club cadets are the same as solos & made in germany.
  6. Im still very skeptical of some of the claims made by it. I have never had much problem with chimney draw using an old unlined chimney no cowl just a chimney pot plus rayburn, don't get smoke in the room etc, like alot of the testimonals say it fixes, but am interested in the other advertized aspect, the claim it can save up to 50% wood. some points from the website: Fuel efficient chimney cowls - The FlueCube - Reduce emissions and burn less wood Urm what else are you going to get at the bottom of the stove apart from ash never noticed anything else there? So that covers a rayburn i presume as its very old. If i knew for sure this 50% claim was true I would get one though but I just don't believe it thb even though my rayburn is very old so probably alot less efficient than a modern stove (no secondary burn), I can't understand how it would make it burn any less wood for same heat output. The rayburn actually gives out more heat once its got going when the flue vent is closed down so less heat goes up the chimney thus reducing the draw not increasing it. This info doesn't seem very scientific? http://www.fluecube.co.uk/PDF/fluecube_testing_01.pdf There saying the extra draw made by the cube installed causes same logs to burn slower but heat output isn't measured? Can someone explain why having extra draw burns logs slower & is more efficient?
  7. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G80EXLg7DtE]Husqvarna 077 Bow Saw - YouTube[/ame] Does seem pretty handy wouldn't his chain blunt fast though?

    Bow bars?

Southern Forestry Products, Inc. :: Cutting Bars Didn't realizes they still had/made them, apparently there suppose to be faster for cutting up logs (no chain pinch) but alot more dangerous coz of kickback. http://www.arboristsite.com/stickies/109002.htm Anyone ever had a go with one?
  9. Club cadet colour yellow maybe? Plastic does seem to match the gardentech. Also: Chainsaw (CS4600) - Sell 46cc Chain Saw on Made-in-China.com. Same as this fake zenoah?

  11. I reckon there the second most common tree after ash locally since dutch elm came. Cast alot denser shade compared too ash & there leaf drop is alot more volume so some people tend to hate them due to this & the other things already said.

  14. Looks great, good that you have given it a decent overhang for when there is horizontzal rain. Have you decided of roofing material, I reckon Clear PVC Corrugated would be ideal so it get some extra warmth & light help dry logs faster.
  15. Any reviews of this? Cost a tenner more than the similar Petzl Vertex Vent MSA Sordin & seem to weight more for some reason. EDIT Just realized is alevo not a vertex so thats why maybe Why not ground & climb?
  16. Got about 8 cubic metre of leylandi seasoning atm it will burn fine in the rayburn once its ready. Ideally would be to have some hardwood to mix with it though so the stove doesn't need feeding so often.
  17. Why sell in cords this isn't the USA
  18. Ccould this be improved with wider kerf chain?
  19. Just started road cycling abit but its being abit wet & windy last few weeks & is dark before 4pm to get out much. Local cycle club does "sunday slow pace rides" & records then with a gps tracker on strava but there version of slow is near on 19mph for 40 miles Reckon I could average 16 mph going flat out for that distance so need to improve loads before im good enough to do 19mph. Bike is about 15yr old race though & heavy so thats my excuse Also haven't gone in for the full lycra body suit look you see some blokes sporting theese days You can spend a fortune on bike stuff, its amazing how much gear there is now compared with when i first got my bike. Loads of clothing the range & cost of bike components has rocketed.
  20. I have seen that on beech I thought it might be serious but hedge hasn't died back of any more that when I first noticed it yrs ago. Its only on the section of the hedge that is too heavily shaded by other trees nearby to be to be very healthy.
