    which saw??

Hi, I appreciate a smaller saw will get the job done & 450 is a good one but find the vibes very low on my 365 & certainly does cut well. I think the OP is after something slightly larger than 50cc, maybe a 555 55cc if 365 too big, but its good value? N
  3. All, Today marks the anniversary of the raid on the dock that could accomodate the battleship Tirpitz at St Nazaire: The Greatest Raid Of All. [ame] [/ame] A story of incredible bravery & raw courage under fire. This raid prompted Churchills phrase 'we're not done yet' & Hitler issued orders that all captured Commandos were to be executed. So enigmatically British, to plan & carry out such a daring raid against all odds & one hopes the youth of today could step up to the mark & fill their shoes. Salute N
  4. Hi Jon, I think there are a lot of celebrities with troubled lives off camera & yes he may have been a bit of a berk, however what he does on camera is very entertaining & Im sure the show will appear on another channel soon N

    which saw??

Hi There are a significant amount of pro users who post problems here which may skew your opinion on reliability. Any saw in use 8hrs + a day 5 or 6 days a week is going to require some sort of repair eventually. Pro saws are generally easier to repair, last longer & are more ergonomic in use as well as parts for leading brands are readily available. Dont shy from too much power, if you used a ms390 & that fits the bill then check out similar ones from Huskvana & Echo or Dolmar. Check out your local dealer, if they seem helpful then chances are they will be if problems occur, Id buy my 365 again in the blink of an eyelid & a 390xp would be great. N
  7. Hi, Take care if you see your GP, they are too keen to prescribe 'happy pills' these days & can often create more problems than they solve. I agree with MattyF, go out with you mates and have a good few drinks, not too much! Then carry on with your work, consider making your work safer, in a "that's not going to happen to me" manner. Bon courage N
  8. I agree, The last regime did more damage to the UK than Hitler, yet people have short memories when it comes to the election. N
  9. Agree entirely Jon, is the flip side of this that the BBC can't manage a fry up? No doubt because of the unique way the BBC is funded . N
  10. Hi Theres water running through the tree from the right hand top pic exiting at the bottom pic. The rot is probably worse than what you can see. From what Ive seen with similar trees I would definitely fell & re-plant N
  11. Hi Probably forgot they had difflock & low ratio - N
  12. Hi Just for reference heres a useful link Chain | bar | sprocket identification N
  13. Be careful of what you wish for, it may attract the wrong sort of 'butt hunter'! N

  15. Hi Bank passwords should never be storred in a browser, no matter how secure! however, Take a look at last para on this page How to Manage Your Internet Explorer Saved Passwords - MajorGeeks If you are selling the computer, Id be tempted to remove all browser based passwords cookies etc & once the profile is removed, defrag the disk then wipe the free space - as opposed to the whole disk. This will take time, but overwrite the free space with nondescript data several times before erasing it securely. There are a number of programs that can wipe free space CC Cleaner etc but you can do it from the command line in Windows, if C is your HDD you wish to wipe free space, run a command prompt & type cipher /w:c hit enter & away you go, works in XP & Vista too theres several 'how to's' on this ie How To Overwrite Free Space Securely in Windows N
  16. Hi I would advise against wiping the disk, it makes all data irrecoverable - unless you have good reason to! & as Windows 7 its media-less (no install DVD) you need to be a bit careful or you will remove your install files. You will then have to download a new ISO file from Microsoft & install from that. However, if you wish to remove the data in your profile (which is where Windows stores your data etc) you need to either log on as administrator or create a new account with administrator rights & delete the profile. Perhaps this may achieve what you require: [ame] [/ame] N
  17. Hi Thats not far from some of our friends who run gites near Cajarc in the Lott Valley, it'll be fairly warm by then! N
  18. Hi, You need to tier the steps to make a selection, currently its guide bars then manufacturer you seem to get all the guide bars under that make. So in selection for Guide bars manufacturer, then Saw model number, then Bar length with perhaps the ability to pick a chain to match selected bar hope that helps N
  19. Yes, but I think were talking cars here! N
  20. Hi Well done, good job, hope he gets you a nice saw for limbing & ringing up. N
