  7. Yes, I think that was correct, the north west France was battered, Finistere, Morbihan St Brieuc all very badly damaged with no power for several days. I think to get fired from the bbc you have to have an argument over a steak! N
  8. Hi Yes, I thought 1987, that famous Michael Fish forecast - "Earlier on today, apparently, a woman rang the BBC and said she heard there was a hurricane on the way... well, if you're watching, don't worry, there isn't!". October 15 1987 N
  9. Must be stolen then N
  10. Hi Jon, We dont watch much TV but the French channels help with the language. Yes, we like top gear as well. N
  11. Hi Jon, We have an 80cm high gain dish for our Humax box which works well for UK TV, we left our old post code in so we see SW TV on BBC & get our French TV from the antennae up on the chimney. The TV is paid by our tax habitation adds about 60 euros I think, no BBC license When I installed the dish, I tuned it with a device that whistled as the signal got stronger & it set all the dogs in the village off barking , my O/H was laughing so much it set me off as well when she stuck her head out of the window saying 'who set the dogs off?' & I nearly fell off the ladder - good job the bracket was well secured! oh la la. N
  12. Thanks Jon, be watching at a friends house later on with aperitifs N

    What car GPS?

Agreed & the application runs fine on my MBP , dont know why Tom Tom seems to be favoured, updating seemed more complicated to me. That said the European map was a 2.5Gb download but then its rather large area. N

    Easter idiots

Hi What a complete tosser, got everything he deserved & hope who ever pulled him out eventually charged accordingly. You definitely did the right thing leaving him to stew, did you note the plate just in case they return? N

  20. Hi Liked by me Joyeuse pâques et bon courage, N
  21. The conservatives may not be everyones choice, but the best of a bad bunch. If Labour & SNP were to form a coalition, the UK is doomed. N
  22. Hi Great saw, run mine on 20" handles that fine be very fast on 18" May seem a bit heavy after a few hours use but thats no problem for me, buy it again for sure - about £540 from Jonsies N

    which saw??

Hi It runs 20" fine on mine, I would imagine 24 OK or consider the transfer port mod to give it a bit more ompf if a bit more power required. Semi skip or skip chain as suggested if its available N
  24. NFG

    which saw??
