  1. Usually SEA 30 on splash lube engines multi grade on pressure fed engines .
  2. On the 3/16 size files , ( although not actually measured them ) I find the Save edge seem to be slightely smaller in dia than the Oregon . Any one notice that ?
  3. The shortest I can get away with ...
  4. Doh ! . Had the odd plastic shovel or rake tipped on the chip pile but not a saw yet .....Hope you find it . have you had a dig around ? Oh I see you did ! Well done .
  5. 8 Slot/tooth/pin drive sprocket as apposed to a standard 7 pin . The 560 deals with it ok .
  6. Air filter getting wet some how ? Gumming up with dust
  7. 18" Sugi full chiz chain driven by an 8 pin
  8. Bad news . Seen Andrew about a fair bit but never spoken to him .
  9. Yea but we all know different .
  10. Second hand 346 or 357 is what I would be looking for in your position ..
  11. And promptly re listed again ......
  12. Testament to how good the huskys are ! I have all the saws I mentioned and that is the bars they are running .
  13. Bit more power bit more torque and a bit cooler running . Best combined with a porting job .
  14. 372 up to 24" 390 up to 28" 395 up to 36" 3120 42" and over ..... I recon a 395 would be the best bet . You don't need to get a new one . Some of the older 2 series saws are good 288 etc . Going back further its the all metal saws like the 2100 . Not high revving but grunt monsters ....
  15. The license applies to " the site " not the guy felling so it must stipulate the boundary of the site ?
  16. Impressive . Pulled that 10ft long x 2ft dia log at a rapid rate powered by that little saw . Wonder what you could pull if it was hooked up to a 3120 or 880 ?
  17. Also if they did what you suggest ( and I agree ) it would create a lot of jobs . There always used to be ditch men when I was little maintaining the ditches and culverts . The rivers could be dredged etc etc .....
  18. 9" for most with a smaller amount of 12" seems to be the norm round here ...
  19. Yes that is what I meant . I find all this , what seems to me , obsession with the chain brake a little over the top . By all means check that it works . Snap it on once with the saw running flat stick but don't hold the T.W.O. once you know it works . Just waers clutches out prematurely .All this snapping it on every time you take a single step drives me nuts ! If the saw is idling the chain is not moving ( carb adjustment permitting ) . Just me and my mechanical sympathy.............
