  1. Ok .Mine does not . Its a Burley Hollywell 5KW but I am sure it punts out alot more . seems to heat the whole house , even the loft ....

  4. A lot of runners and parts saws on the bay recently . saw one 254 that looked like a minter strait out of the shop ! There is a parts only power head for £20 at the moment . East Sussex .

  6. Had six days so far . Started on a Tuesday and go Sat Tues from now on . All sold partridge so far . The syndicate have the Saturdays from November . Shot 440 last week on a 300 bird day . They were happy to pay for the extras .

  9. I think in the persute of lightness they just made them too thin and they are not up to being snapped on and off
  10. Periodically it gets called upon , Monday and Tuesday this week and a couple of times the week before . It seems to go in waves the big saw use Wont use them for weeks on end and then a few days on the trot . Not used the 395 for a couple of months and not used the 3120 for a year ( thank god )

  12. It is/was a problem but I think there is a modded one . Never broken the band on my 2011 560 but then I rarely use the brake ....
  13. I have a ported 390 and that was very interesting .
  14. Took down what I think was a dead standing Strawberry tree back in the summer . Very heavy wood like holm oak . Just burnt some on the stove . Very hot and burns for ever ! Any one else tried it ?

  16. You can't harden and temper mild steel with a " simple heating and cooling process " . There is not enough carbon in it . You can case harden by heating to cherry red and dipping in carbon cranuals then quenching but that is only skin deep . Better to use a proper tool steel with a higher carbon content .

    Nightmare . So sorry bud . Close to home now . i am in West Sussex 15mins from the Hampshire boundary . Just words but I hope you get your kit back and they all die a slow and painful death .

  22. I remember the LE and its not so common air cooled un faired version . Don't remember plod riding them but they did ride the Ariel Leader . That was covered in a lot of tin work .....
  23. Depends on how its heat treated . The impax I suggested is a mould tool steel that is abrasion resistant and tough . Used in injection moulds that use glass filled plastics .
  24. Went to cut a hedge and ended up dismantling a piano to get it out of the house and taking it to the tip ..
