    I was 23 in 1976 and remember spending a huge proportion of that summer on Elmer beach . Remember everything being scorched brown . Don't remember any plague of insects . There were lots more starlings back then . the sky used to go black with them in the evenings . Kites and buzzards were few but now they are like confetti , everywhere .

    It is a tad low . Would want 120 at least to support combustion . 150 and above is good .

    I have found Timpsons to be hopeless . would not entertain resoling some boots and had some keys cut that did not work , even after taking the back for a rework .

    I became competent ( at least I like to think so ) by watching and working with others ( back in the 80s ). I did eventually do my CS what ever it is and found that I was doing it all wrong . I failed to snap the chain brake on at each and every opportunity . Sooo I did it how they wanted me to and passed . Then carried on being competent like before ...

    My daughter recently did hers at the local cattery ( actually its my mates ) And she got nothing . In fact she bought them some chocolates as a thank you .
