  1. Thanks, after a little reading they seem to not be rated so well for spikes. 95% of my work is spike climbing - would you still reccomend? Pfanner Zermatts for spikes . No good for a tea room dance though ...
  2. Yes . It pulls a vacuum . Lay the saw on its side with the oil cap just cracked open and if it keeps oiling then that is the problem .
  3. When the Forst first came on the market I was told by someone ( dunno who , maybe Red Wood ) that Forst took all the good bits from the Jensen and eliminated all the bad bits . It seems to me , from some posts on here , that they retained all the bad bits and added some of their own . Since the ST 6 and ST 8 came out our old Jensen A 540 is still going strong with no problems . If you want a bigger one go Bandit . To quote the chocolate bar advert ...Get yourself and Bandit if you know whats good for you senior ?
  4. If he is anything like one I had about 5 dogs back the thread will go on for about 15 years . She was a tri color and worked in the beating line when we were in thick cover . ( no good in cover strips or open ground as she got on too much ) . she suddenly stopped on the last drive of the day and was all hunched up . Took her to the vets and they said she has hurt her back . Give her these tablets and rest her . I thought maybe its time to retire as she was 15 . Any way started on the tablets and after a couple of days she seemed ok . When the tablets ran out she got all hunched up again . Took her back to the vets and another vet looked at her and said he thought she had major organ failure . He said leave her with us and we will treat her . The last thing that little dog saw was me putting her in a cadge at the vets and walking away . They phoned me the next day to say she had died . I never used them again . I know she was probably going to die anyway but I wanted to be with her . The first miss diagnosis meant that , as far as she was concerned I had abandoned her . That dog gave me everything and more . I was in bits , guilty and angry at at the same time .
  5. That's a tidy work shop ! ?
  6. I thought he swept the flu and it all works now ?
  7. What do you think the pigs chat up line was ?
  8. They used the stolen wire core flip line from the last blag to tow out an obstructing trailer . Pikey scum more like .
  9. A little and often is my thinking . When he is very young his attention span is very short . If you over do it he will get board and forget all that went before . A small treat when its done and try to finish on a high . I kept mine on a lead ( extending type ) for the first 8 or 10 months , or until he will come back on the whistle . Also you can train him to return on the whistle off the lead in any kind of natural or man made " corridor " so there is no chance of him veering of with a distraction . You probably know all this anyway ........
  10. He is a cracker . I have had 8 working cockers and 1 sprocker ( in my avatar ) . I would be worried about that tail if he is going to work in any bramble and rough undergrowth . I have seen tails a bloody mess on un docked workers . Good luck and happy birthday bud !
  11. Oh . Ok . Not offended . Was just curious bud . ?
  12. That's good then . Out of curiosity why did you call mine a fart or a splash ?
  13. To be fair yes , I am retired ( and possibly retarded ) so they don't do a lot nowadays but , they earned their corn when I was grafting . Is your 395 a " fart " or a " splash " ? ? I don't cut cookies .
  14. Walker Saw Shop 395 . Folowed by Spud ported 372 and 390 .
  15. T shirt . Graft hard , Hot shower when you get home .
  16. Frost on the roofs here . Said 3 degrees in the truck .
  17. You would not starve , just die of boredom .
  18. I doubt Steve could get the pages apart after you have used them ?
