  1. Slightly off track but were I live the road is a dead end in as much as no vehicles past my house . There are bollards that cyclists and pedestrians/runners can continue on . The runners and walkers insist on walking in the road even though there is a pavement on either side . I drive off in my truck only to have to stop coz of the throng heading toward me in the road . I stopped and asked them one day if they thought I should drive on the pavement ? ... Blank looks all round .
  2. I have a 65 plate Tekna and I bought a TomTom with a sim card that updates from the wifi coz I did not know you could update the one in the truck !
  3. This . Just let it carry on . Interesting just to study it from time to time .

  6. Got a Husqvarna T540 MK1/MK2 hybrid . Since fitting the MK2 parts its been faultless with bags of power .

  14. DI had a Parkray that had a hopper feed for anthracite beans . Worked well and did the hot water and 6 rads . When I realized I had lots of free wood to burn I took it out . It was good though .

    Sharpening

    Technically its " work hardening " . Case hardening would involve heating the chain to cherry red , dipping it in " Kasenett " a carbon compound , then heating it again to make the carbon penetrate the surface on the steel , then quenching . ? But yea . Chuck it away ?
  16. 36 degrees at lunch time in a car park in Chandlersford ( just past Southampton ) .

  18. Spud ...... Steve Gumm user name spudulike . Can highly recommend him . General service up to a full port job with pop up piston , MM and ignition advance . Message him . He has ported most of my saws so first hand experience .
