  2. Looks like Evergreen Oak Sometimes refered to as Holly Oak . Querqus Ilex . Good fire wood . Burns a bit like coal .

  5. To be fair I have , in the past , split longer lenghts by laying the log lenghtwise on the ground and standing one leg eaithr side wand winding the axe in that way . Not a novice thing to do though .

    Ok . I am going to go in with my usual coment . Buy the best pro saw you can afford in the size apropriate to the job in hand . I will get lots of decent from some quaters ( He is a novice ! he should not have a fast cutting saw etc etc ) That is all bollox . As far as I am concerned the faster it cuts the safer it is . If you buy some home owner / semi pro saw and you have got "a bit about you " you will soon wish you had a better / faster saw .

  11. I have also learned that Sky schedualling played a part in the desision .
  12. There was not a replacement medical team avaliable to take over aparently . Can't run the match with no medics .
  13. Sadely the game was abandoned after 8 mins of play as a Charlton fan suffered a heart attack . He was treated at the sceine by para medics but susiquently died in hospital . Very sad .

  15. Morning all . Just dropped Jack off at the railway station as he is going up to Pompey v Charlton . Turned very mild here after night time rain . If I lit the stove it would be too hot I think .

  18. Hi Les . Sorry to hear you are down in the dumps mate . I suppose Welsh rugby is no help ! I got depressed after my bike accident back in 2005 . It was life changing in as much as I could no longer play any sport and when I look back on it I was not a nice person to live with for a while . Gradually I realised its the cards I had been dealt and got on with life making the best of it . I do hope you can do the same mate . Not much I know but us wallys are always here on the key board matey . You know who we are .
